Story
Dior came from a breeder and was born on January 9th, 2023. He is still young, full of personality, and has a lot of energy. I’m looking for a loving home for Dior with someone who truly enjoys dogs and would love to add a Pomsky to their family. Ideally, his new owner would enjoy going on walks and have time to spend with him. A home with a yard or space where he can run freely would be best, as he enjoys being active and does not do well being confined for long periods. Dior is very protective and always alert. He can be shy, nervous, and a little scared at first, so he will need someone patient and understanding who can give him time to adjust. Because of this, he may become reactive if he feels overwhelmed or bothered, so he would do best with someone who understands dog behavior and respects his boundaries. A calm home would be ideal. Once he’s comfortable, he is playful and enjoys tug of war and fetch, even if he gets a little distracted sometimes. I would describe Dior as loy

Story
She was given to my ex-boyfriend by a friend who could no longer take care of her (nurse who works 12 hour shifts). She was staying with me temporarily while my ex looked for an apartment. My ex-boyfriend was so supposed to help me because I already have a dog but since we broke up, he abandoned her. She is very sweet and energetic. Today is actually her birthday (May 4th) and she is 1 year old. She loves walks and loves playing, especially fetch. She is trained to potty on the pads but I was also working to train her to only go outside. She would be good for someone with kids or with the time to give her a lot of attention and love. She’s very sweet and I wish I could keep her.

Story
Meet Sweetie Pie8-year-old spayed female Husky looking for a very special home to spend her golden years in. Sweetie Pie came to the shelter as an owner surrender after her beloved owner sadly passed away. Another family member took her in temporarily, but due to having to move, they were no longer able to care for her. With her entire world changing so suddenly, Sweetie Pie has been understandably overwhelmed and frightened.During the stressful process of being removed from her home, Sweetie Pie was involved in a Level 2 fear-based bite (a bite that leaves minor redness, bruising, or slight scrapes). This incident occurred while she was scared, confused, and unsure of what was happening around her. Since arriving at the shelter, Sweetie Pie has shown us that beneath her timid exterior is a gentle soul who simply needs patience, understanding, and time to feel safe again.Sweetie Pie is not the type of dog who will trust instantly. She takes time to build confidence with new people, but once she does, her affectionate personality shines through. She loves to lay beside her person, enjoys quiet companionship, and truly believes she is a lap dog at heart. Watching her slowly come out of her shell is incredibly rewarding. As expected with her breed, Sweetie Pie is considered a flight risk and will need a home committed to safety and continued leash training. Prior to coming to the shelter, she had never been walked on a leash, but staff have already begun working with her and she is making progress. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for her comfort and safety, though it is not required with proper management and continued training.Sweetie Pie is searching for a calm, quiet, patient home that will allow her to adjust at her own pace. She would do best with adopters who understand shy or fearful dogs and are willing to give her the time she deserves to decompress and learn to trust again. After everything she has been through, Sweetie Pie deserves stability, compassion, and a family willing to see the loving dog behind the fear. If you have the patience to let her blossom, Sweetie Pie will reward you with a bond that is truly special.57 lbsIf you are interested in meeting Sweetie Pie, please visit the shelter during open adoption hours:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 AM–12:30 PM & 2 PM–4 PMThursday: 10 AM–12:30 PM & 2 PM–6:30 PMSaturday: 9 AM–1 PMIf you do not own your home, please

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. NOTE- ISABELLE IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW Valley View Animal Rescue  email: amybennettwashburn@hotmail.com Phone: (540) 862-1756Isabelle is our oldest rescue and has been waiting for a home since 5/20/2025. In puppyhood, she was transferred into our care from another shelter and was adopted quite early. She was returned as a 1 year old, and after months of waiting, was adopted out again. In her last home, she served as protector of her female owner while her male owner was away on business, and got lots of TLC and training. While she was such a good girl at that home, her owners went through a divorce, and she was returned back to us last May at no fault of her own. Isabelle misses having a big yard to play in and a family to snuggle. She is a very good girl with manners and obedience and while she is near and dear to our hearts, the kennel life is not what's best for her. She would do best in a home with older children as she does not like her belly or booty touched (unless she gets booty scratches- she LOVES those), and does well with young, submissive canine companions (or as an only dog). She would benefit from a large yard to run in as she has loads of energy. We recommend a fenced in yard or a training collar, as that is what her previous owner used. Isabelle loves all people, but is especially a girl's girl. She hails from the streets of Houston, TX, where she was found wandering, an unfortunately common scenario in that area. Agnes is a truly special pup in need of a fresh start with defined boundaries so that she can enjoy the world of meeting new dogs again. Aggie is sweet, silky soft, and relishes in snuggles and being close to people in general. She is very food motivated (albiet a sensitive tummy to chicken & abrupt changes in diet) and has decent recall skills (fears missing out so she always came right back whenever she had snuck out). We are confident that with consistent training, leadership and continued love, Aggie can be an excellent addition to your 'ohana' (family). Agnes is currently living in Baltimore. Her DNA report is attached. If you are interested in adopting Agnes, please contact:Jessica Cooper, email: jncooper892@gmail.com410-652-6011Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2026, 11:37 am
