You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. NOTE- ISABELLE IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW Valley View Animal Rescue  email: amybennettwashburn@hotmail.com Phone: (540) 862-1756Isabelle is our oldest rescue and has been waiting for a home since 5/20/2025. In puppyhood, she was transferred into our care from another shelter and was adopted quite early. She was returned as a 1 year old, and after months of waiting, was adopted out again. In her last home, she served as protector of her female owner while her male owner was away on business, and got lots of TLC and training. While she was such a good girl at that home, her owners went through a divorce, and she was returned back to us last May at no fault of her own. Isabelle misses having a big yard to play in and a family to snuggle. She is a very good girl with manners and obedience and while she is near and dear to our hearts, the kennel life is not what's best for her. She would do best in a home with older children as she does not like her belly or booty touched (unless she gets booty scratches- she LOVES those), and does well with young, submissive canine companions (or as an only dog). She would benefit from a large yard to run in as she has loads of energy. We recommend a fenced in yard or a training collar, as that is what her previous owner used. Isabelle loves all people, but is especially a girl's girl. She hails from the streets of Houston, TX, where she was found wandering, an unfortunately common scenario in that area. Agnes is a truly special pup in need of a fresh start with defined boundaries so that she can enjoy the world of meeting new dogs again. Aggie is sweet, silky soft, and relishes in snuggles and being close to people in general. She is very food motivated (albiet a sensitive tummy to chicken & abrupt changes in diet) and has decent recall skills (fears missing out so she always came right back whenever she had snuck out). We are confident that with consistent training, leadership and continued love, Aggie can be an excellent addition to your 'ohana' (family). Agnes is currently living in Baltimore. Her DNA report is attached. If you are interested in adopting Agnes, please contact:Jessica Cooper, email: jncooper892@gmail.com410-652-6011Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 30, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Violet came to us from a kill shelter with Diesel who has already been adopted. Violet has been waiting for a year now to find her family. She is so deserving and loving. Violet is a young, bouncy, happy girl, who is ready for family to love her. Violet would be happiest being the only dog in the home where she can get all the attention she deserves. Violet is a sweet, affectionate, smaller girl at 60lbs. and approximately a year and a half old. She is looking for a family with a fenced in yard and no small animals please. *********************************** If you are interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please complete an application by cutting & pasting the following link: https://form.jotform.com/60794585351161 Or visit CHAAMP.org to access the Adoption/Foster link and learn about the process. https://www.chaamp.org/adoption-process Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. We are happy to work with you. For example, if you don't have a fence, we can help find alternatives and/or a dog that will do well without a fence. A home visit is required prior to adoption/fostering. You can visit the malamute(s) once you've completed the process. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how rewards-based training brings out the best in malamutes. ********************************* CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. Puppy fees are higher due to more vet visits and vaccines. The adoption fee helps us cover these costs. ********************************* We highly recommend the following links that you will need to cut and paste: Kathy Sdao’s SMART x 50 (Capture & Reward Good Behavior) https://babysafedogtraining.com/kathy-sdaos-smart-x-50-another-way-to-use-1000-treats/ Building Your Dog's Confidence by Victoria Stilwell (FREE Online Course) https://www.vsdogtrainingacademy.com/enroll/demo/ Shy Adopters Guide https://www.shelterdogplay.org/_files/ugd/7c885c_2f9fe1f87ea24376912b6e0b18e41998.pdf ********************************* CHAAMP is not a shelter and is run by 100% volunteers. Story
Kiba-Husky male, ~ 3 yr. (July 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Kiba was taken into a Prison Program a couple months ago, to train for Therapy work. Unfortunately, the Prison is closing the program and he only has a short time to find a home, or his life may be at risk to euthanasia. The Head Trainer reached out to Rescue in the hopes of finding help for Willie and some of his pals. He's been training at the Prison for 5 mo. He's learned so much while in the program. He's house trained, crate trained. Knows his grooming and husbandry skills. He's also had obedience training! A real plus to someone who's looking for a solid dog who has a great start. The Trainer gives him high marks for being smart and quick to learn. Here are some of her observations..."He is very typical Husky. Strong willed, independent thinker, loves his trainers and everyone there." He gets along great with the other dogs in the Program. No cats, too much prey drive in the Husky breed. He's not lived with children yet, to that is an unknown until he's in foster care. He is full grown now, medium sized adult. Kiba's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Harley is such a great dog! A note from his foster:  He’s perfectly well-behaved in the house. House-trained, gentle and happily goes into his crate at night or when asked. He’s smart and knows some commands. Seems to take satisfaction from pleasing humans, with just enough personality to make you laugh. He knows enough to test boundaries, but quickly course-corrects. This pup is grateful for getting the pets and is thrilled with the bully-rub.  He’s happy to nap by your feet during work calls, lay in the sun, and eager to go for walks. Good on a leash. Happy to sit for his harness and takes commands well when leaving the house. His prey drive is high — gets too excited about squirrels, most birds, other critters that scurry. He’s not well-suited for other dogs. Or cats.  He’s got some hound in his mix; loves to sniff and on the occasions when a siren would pass he would sing along. (Adorable.) Not a crazy barker, but can sound fierce when he does bark. He’s more of a gentle giant with humans. Did just fine with new people coming into the home. Sheds a lot!  Harley would live his best life in a home where he’s the only pet. A privacy-fenced yard to run free in would be nice, I suspect, but he’s seemingly just as happy to live in a city and go for walks a few times a day. Contact with other dogs would have to be limited.  He’s the perfect dog if you’re looking for a loyal best friend, and don’t have other pets.  Due to his being dog selective, we will only place Admiral in a home with childern 14 and older. If you are interested in Admiral, please contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com      *** Click here to sponsor this dog! *** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 30, 2026, 5:36 pm
