5 year old male husky mix. Great with young kids. Very good and sweet dog. I have become very allergic to him and other animals. Looking for a good caring home for him. He is a super sweet and loving dog. He also fits in everywhere and makes himself at home. He shouldn’t have any issues getting used to a new home.

Story
Hi, I’m Quinzel, I’m a husky lab mix with a pretty easy walking style… most of the time. I’ve got a strong stride, though, and when I catch an interesting smell, I will put my nose down and give a good tug. Those scents aren’t going to investigate themselves!I’m very food motivated — cheese is basically my love language. If you’ve got snacks, you’ve got my full attention. I already know “sit” and “paw,” and I’m happy to show off my skills, especially if there’s a tasty reward involved.Toys? Meh. I’m not really impressed. I’d much rather work for food or enjoy some good company. On walks, I try to avoid puddles… mostly because if I see one, I really want to drink it. It’s a bit of a weakness. Rain, though? I actually love the rain. Something about it just feels right. And one more thing — I’m currently trying out for the opera. I’ve got that husky voice, after all. When I sing, I commit. Interested in adopting me? I am in a foster home so things need to be done a little differently. We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then calling the shelter to let them know you are interested in meeting me!. Please note: all applications are considered general until the animal has been met. If you have any questions, please contact animalcenter@bmorehumane.org or 410-833-8848 Ext/Opt 2.

Story
Violet came to us from a kill shelter with Diesel who has already been adopted. Violet has been waiting for a year now to find her family. She is so deserving and loving. Violet is a young, bouncy, happy girl, who is ready for family to love her. She could live with another male companion in the home but would also be just as happy being the only dog in the home where she can get all the attention she deserves. Violet is a sweet, affectionate, smaller girl at 60lbs. and approximately a year and a half old. She is looking for a family with a fenced in yard and no small animals please. *********************************** If you are interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please complete an application by cutting & pasting the following link: https://form.jotform.com/60794585351161 Or visit CHAAMP.org to access the Adoption/Foster link and learn about the process. https://www.chaamp.org/adoption-process Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. We are happy to work with you. For example, if you don't have a fence, we can help find alternatives and/or a dog that will do well without a fence. A home visit is required prior to adoption/fostering. You can visit the malamute(s) once you've completed the process. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how rewards-based training brings out the best in malamutes. ********************************* CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. ADOPTION FEES ~Senior dogs (8+ years old): $100.00 ~Adult dogs (2 years up to 8): $300.00 ~Puppies (6 months - 2 years): $350.00 ~Puppies under 6 months: $375 All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Puppy fees are higher due to more vet visits and vaccines. The adoption fee helps us cover these costs. ********************************* We highly recommend the following links that you will need to cut and paste: Kathy Sdao’s SMART x 50 (Capture & Reward Good Behavior) https://babysafedogtraining.com/kathy-sdaos-smart-x-50-another-way-to-use-1000-treats/ Building Your Dog's Confidence by Victoria Stilwell (FREE Online Course) https://www.vsdogtrainingacademy.com/enroll/demo/ Shy Adopters Guide https://www.shelterdogplay.org/_files/ugd/7c885c_2f9fe1f87ea24376912b6e0b18e41998.pdf ********************************* CHAAMP is not a shelter and is run by 100% volunteers. Story
Adoption Update: This dog is currently on a temporary 2-week hold due to a sick puppy in the kennel area. Please check back in 2 weeks.Meet Theresa, a beautiful 3-year-old Akita with a quiet elegance and a gentle heart. She came to us as a stray, and while her past is a bit of a mystery, her personality is slowly shining through. Theresa is friendly and affectionate with people she knows and trusts. New situations can be a little overwhelming for her—she can be nervous around loud noises and is still learning to feel comfortable walking on a leash. With patience, consistency, and reassurance, she continues to make progress every day. Because of her sensitive nature, Theresa would do best in a calm home with someone who has Akita experience and understands the value of going at her pace. Given time to settle in and feel secure, she has the potential to be a deeply loyal and loving companion. If you’re looking for a graceful soul who just needs patience and understanding to truly blossom, Theresa may be the perfect match. Theresa has currently came back from a foster home and has been with a dog and horses and has done well. She is housebroken and loves children. If you are interested in meeting Theresa, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12:30p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12:30p & 2p-6:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p.
