Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This beauty is Sasha. Sasha was left behind at a hotel in San Antonio.  Her family had been a guest and decided to leave her behind when they left.  Lucky for her, the hotel called our vet and asked for help.  This beauty is very smart and active.  She  needs a family that is going to keep her busy.  This breed has to have a job to be happy.  Are you looking for a walking or running buddy?   Do you think you would like to enter working dog classes in your spare time?  If so, this is your girl. She needs an active  family to walk with, play with in the back yard, and run around chasing toys. Sasha is about 2 years old, 58 pounds and $300 to adopt. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Meet Linus! At just 8 pounds, 12-year-old Linus is basically a tiny, fluffy gentleman with the soul of a sweet little grandpa. 🥹 This precious Pomeranian mix was adopted from a shelter four years ago and recently found himself back in rescue through absolutely no fault of his own when his owner had to move into a nursing home. Now Linus is looking for a soft place to land for the rest of his golden years — and it doesn’t take even a moment to realize he deserves nothing less than the very best. Linus does have some typical senior-dog changes, including reduced hearing and some age-related cloudiness in his eyes, but none of that slows down his sweetness one bit. He’s wonderful with other dogs, politely ignores cats, and absolutely adores kids. He’s potty trained on a frequent routine and does great when kept on schedule. Because he’s an older little guy, he can’t hold it for super long stretches anymore, but he’s very good about using potty pads during long work days. Linus’ favorite things include: - Wet food! - Shotgun car rides - Napping in his giant cozy bed - Sitting in your lap - Thinking about sitting in your lap - Returning immediately to your lap Linus is gentle, easygoing, loving, and so incredibly deserving of a calm, cozy home where he’ll be cherished forever. If you’ve ever thought about giving a senior dog a chance, this little guy will show you just how special they are. Linus is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $175.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
