Her family had been a guest and decided to leave her behind when they left. Lucky for her, the hotel called our vet and asked for help. This beauty is very smart and active. She needs a family that is going to keep her busy. This breed has to have a job to be happy. Are you looking for a walking or running buddy? Do you think you would like to enter working dog classes in your spare time? If so, this is your girl. She needs an active family to walk with, play with in the back yard, and run around chasing toys. Sasha is about 2 years old, 58 pounds and $300 to adopt. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! Blue the husky is obviously a looker! He’s probably a year old and 50# of hair, and LOVE!! He is crate trained, knows how to sit and recently learned to give hugs- must LOVE HUSKY HUGS!! He’s very dog friendly, likes cats a little too much and will chase or sometimes play too rough but he isn’t trying to hurt them, but for everyone' s sake he will go to a no kitty home. Blue had been roaming the neighborhood for months then eventually made a best friend named Benji= the ADORABLE terrier ;) After months of them visiting all the homes who poured cat food and water he started to let me pet him and that was because he would watch me with my foster at the time while we’d be out on walks. He had a rough time before being in the neighborhood, apparently in his first "home" he was yelled at all the time and so he is sensitive to new people as well as brooms and belts :( He’s still an affectionate dog the more I get to know him but of course he will require lots of patience as he begins to build his trust back with humans.Right now his favorite thing to do is play and be a part of pack. He enjoys all of the other dogs in the house. he even smiles at me from time to time. He’s also been known to let out a some decent howls when I’m arriving home from work, so if you love the WHOOWHOOWHOO of a husky boy, he is the ONE!! He needs a quieter home, no young children but older are fine. He needs patience and support as he builds up his confidence and trust. He has it in him!!
