Story
Fun, loving 4 year old male looking for a new home. Does great with kids, has experienced being raise around children age range from infant to 14. Does well with cats and other dogs. Needs walks 2-3 time per day, looks forward to them. Has burst of energy and wants to play at times but overall very relaxed and calm. Indoors and outdoors as long as he is fenced in. (Has a tendency to wander off) but very friendly when he meets strangers. Definitely has his husky traits. He does shed a lot in the summer not as much in the winter. He will need baths and brushing. Loves parks and beaches. Please reach out for more information

Story
Meet Munster! If you have ever wanted a pet fox this guy is perfect for you. Munster was found wandering the streets of Providence. When he was picked up by animal control he was emaciated and his fur was covered in urine and feces. Luckily our friends at Providence Animal Control took great care of our boy while he was with them and we are forever grateful to them. He is now ready for adoption and can't wait to be the typical playful husky that he is. Munster loves people and is very affectionate. He is ready for the next chapter in his life and to leave the past behind. **if you are interested in this boy, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 12-4)**

Story
🖤SHILOH🐾 Gentle, handsome, senior husky 🐕 After years of neglect, he’s safe in rescue & getting the care he deserves. We were told that he formally belonged to a neighbor who used to keep him on a chain and never let him in. But recently he had let him go and said he did not want him anymore. Probably because, Shiloh had a tumor growing on his underside and he did not want to be responsible. He has finished his antibiotics and steroids, and the tumor has been removed. The good news is …. It isn’t cancerous!!! And his heart and lungs, and all other x-rays were clear 🖤 True to his breed, he is vocal and full of adorable personality. He greets every human with a soft “awoooo” and lots of cuteness😍 Good with other dogs, but doesn’t need any in his forever home. He’s a bit of a loner. 🤣 In search of a yard to sunbathe in, snacks & pets from people that love him, and the opportunity to live out his golden years how he deserves 💕 If you’re interested in adopting a settled, senior boy, please consider welcoming Shiloh into your home! Story
Meet Douglas! A 1.5 year old Husky Shepherd Mix that is already with a foster up north & ready to complete your family! Douglas is a happy go lucky guy who’s never met a stranger, besides llamas. He doesn’t love them for some reason. Maybe it’s their underbite? 🤣 His ideal home is with kids, he adores them! He is the perfect mix of friendly and independent. Douglas is great at matching energy. He’s happy to snuggle on the couch, play fetch, ride in the car, but also understands if he needs to spend a little time in the kennel. He’s known to collect a few loose items and stores them in his kennel for later. 😆🐾 Douglas doesn’t complain about anything, but is happy to be a part of whatever is going on. Leash walking and recall are still a bit of a work in progress - There’s just so much to explore! Doug would love an active family, but is also happy on days that he doesn’t get in a long walk. He’s pretty much the perfect dog! 🐶 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
