He can be a little shy around new people, but give him a little time to get to know you and he'll be your best friend. Antonio is a high energy, dramatic, and vocal dog who thrives on daily affection, exercise, and enrichment. He's endlessly charming with his antics (the water bowl spill is his favorite naughty move) and could likely get a job as a stand-up comedian. Antonio would do best in a teens+ household, but he's lived with other dogs before and done well. He has no experience with cats and if he were to go home to a household with resident cats, he would need a slow and careful introduction to ensure the safety and comfort of all animals involved. Meet Rio! This strikingly handsome boy is just about as sweet as he is soft, he’s practically a squishy, life sized, and huggable stuffed animal. Not that you should hug him the second you meet him, that’s not any dog’s idea of a polite greeting, but other than a few “what the heck is this person doing” looks he’d probably let you get away with the faux pas. And we totally get why you would want to hug him and we ourselves indulge us daily snuggle sessions with Rio to hit our daily oxytocin goals. Rio is a friendly, confident, and well-socialized dog who likes making new friends, both dog and humans, and in his down time he tends to be a bit of a lap dog. He is still a husky which means he’s got plenty of energy for walks, zoomies, splashing in water, and romping about with toys, but at the end of the day he’ll be content to snuggle up next to you in bed. Rio has previously done well with children and other well-matched dogs but he finds cats fun to chase. Needs big yard in room to run he’s not fitted for the city. He’s great with one and two-year-olds and somewhat gets along with cats. He just needs a good home where he can play. He has accidents in the house, even though we try to keep them on the schedule because his previous owner as a puppy did not train him right he was kept in a pen almost 24 hours a day since I’ve had him for a year and a half he has learned to obey somewhat. He sleeps good. He sleeps in the house. He’s not in the crate. He’s a wonderful dog, but I just don’t have the energy. I’m 77. My husband is 73. He was my granddaughter‘s dog who lived with us like to find him a really good home.
