Story
Meet Coco, a one-year-old husky/Labrador retriever mix with striking blue eyes and a firecracker personality. Coco is confident and energetic. She’s looking for an active owner who wants a walking, hiking or running buddy.  Coco loves going on walks and takes one with her foster mom every morning. She doesn’t get distracted by smells and just keeps on moving! Coco is pretty relaxed during the day if she’s had her morning walk. She’s also obsessed with going for car rides and hops in the car whenever the door opens. She has an adventurous spirit, and her perfect family would want to take her with them on all of their adventures.  Coco’s recent breed test determined that she is a Husky, Labrador Retriever and Coonhound mix. She is a nice medium-size girl, weighing in at just 42 lbs. full grown.  Coco is fully potty trained and crate trained, and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. Coco is super food motivated and very easy to train. She will sit in record time for just a basic milk bone. She can be a little bossy at dinner time but she’s not food aggressive and fine eating with the other dogs in her foster home. She just loves to eat and is willing to express that to her human with an enthusiastic bark.  Coco is super friendly with all people, including kids, and other dogs. She loves to play! She’s a very confident playmate but will take cues from other dogs and back off if her playing style is too much for them. She’s also a sweet companion to her doggy friends. She loves nibbling on their necks to comfort them and show her affection. It’s not a requirement, but Coco would love a playful doggy sibling in future forever home!

Story
Simba is a one year old husky mix, ready to find his forever home! With one striking blue eye and a gentle demeanor, this handsome boy has a big heart! He’s a great mix of playful and snuggly—perfect for anyone looking for a loving, loyal companion.Simba is currently in a foster home where he’s been showing off his friendly personality. He lives with 7 other dogs ranging from 30lbs and up. He’s great with younger, playful dogs and has a lot of energy to burn. Though he can be a bit too much for older dogs at times, he’s learning boundaries and responds well when corrected. While he’s not a fan of the crate yet, Simba is housebroken and is doing well with his leash training. He is happy to stay home alone uncrated with his other doggie friends, but we think he would need some time to adjust as the only dog being left alone. He’s definitely smart and will thrive with continued training. This sweet boy loves being around people, especially kids! His foster family includes an 8-year-old girl, and Simba has been so gentle and loving with her. He’s also fantastic in the car—he recently laid in his young foster sister’s lap during a long drive.Simba loves to be wherever you are and will do his best to stick close. He'd love to be your shadow! If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, and loving companion, Simba might be your perfect match!Check out this boy in action:https://youtube.com/shorts/y8wUeP33NtM?si=xhMS6PqWHoERopZUName: SimbaBreed: Husky/Labrador RetrieverSex: MaleAge: 1 year (Estimate DOB - Feb 2024)Weight: 72lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testing Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: 5+Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Memphis  TN IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Hank – a big ball of energy, affection, and adorable doggie charm! He is a playful, bouncy boy who has all the puppy enthusiasm and wiggles you could hope for. His big blue eyes and his cute antics will win you over in an instant!Hank came into rescue after he was seen by a vets teenage sons shivering and sitting by trash cans at an unoccupied southern home. They were concerned and decided to go back a few hours later to see if he was still there, and he was. Hank came right up to them and was more than happy to go with them. Unfortunately, they could not bring him into their home since their pooch was not very fond of others. So vet mom brought him to her clinic, where he was in boarding for a bit. He has now made his way up North and is ready to be your forever buddy.Hank absolutely adores every human he meets – he just wants to shower you with affection, and he’ll lure you in with his wiggly tail and those big, soulful blue eyes. While he’s a bit of a bull in a china shop (he doesn’t quite realize how big he is), he’s very sweet and has great instincts – especially when you gently say “ouch” if he is play-mouthing your hands or toes. He’s a good listener and wants to be the best boy. He’s great with other dogs. He’s calm when other dogs bark at him and prefers to engage with playful, puppy pounces from a distance. Hank’s got some good canine instincts and is always up for a game of chase or a fun, silly romp.Hank is a perfect fit for dog-savvy kids who can keep up with his energy and help him navigate his big, lovable personality. He's definitely more of a "big kid" than a little one.Despite his boundless energy, Hank is crate trained and settles down wonderfully when it’s time for a little downtime. He’s still working on leash training and getting used at the hustle and bustle sounds of city life, but he’s getting better every day – he’ll be a great walking companion in no time! Oh, and did we mention how food-driven he is? He loves a good treat after a potty break or going into his crate. He’ll do anything for a snack! Great for training!!If you're looking for an affectionate, energetic, and playful best friend who’s ready to shower you with love, Hank is your guy! Just get ready for lots of cuddles – his favorite thing is to lay right on top of you while playing with his toys.Give Hank a chance, and he’ll bring endless love and joy to your home!Name: Hank Blue EyesBreed: Husky/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 48.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: No, much too interested in them.Adoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Meet Sunny – Our Blue-Eyed Beauty!Sunny is a sweet, soulful girl who came to us after the passing of her beloved owner. She spent her early years on a farm surrounded by other dogs, so she’s well-socialized and knows how to coexist peacefully with her canine companions. Now, she’s looking for a new family to call her own and share her loving, gentle nature.A true lady in the house, Sunny is polite and respectful with the people and dogs around her. She’s calm and composed, making her an easy and pleasant companion indoors. However, like many dogs, she’s happiest when she’s provided with toys or an outlet to channel her energy. A bit of chewing is her way of entertaining herself if she’s left without something to occupy her attention, so a good selection of toys is essential!Sunny is a medium-energy girl who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. She’s not overly demanding but loves her moments of attention and affection. She’s great with people of all ages—young, old, and everyone in between—and will happily offer her company to anyone who wants it.Sunny is great on a leash, walking with ease and enjoying her outings. She is also a good car co-pilot, ready to go wherever the road takes you.Sunny would do best in a fenced yard, as she enjoys a good romp and needs a secure space to play and explore.Recall: She’s still working on her recall, and tends to turn attempts to catch her into a fun game of "keep away." A secure area for off-leash play is a must.Sunny is a wonderful companion who is ready to bring joy to the right home. If you’re looking for a well-mannered, affectionate girl to share your life with, Sunny just might be the perfect fit!Could you be the lucky one to give this sweet soul her forever home?Name: SunnyBreed: Husky/PointerSex: FemaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 40.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    TennesseeIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Meet Sasha Mama, the stunning husky with a heart as big as her beautiful eyes! This sweet, loving girl has been through so much, yet her spirit remains bright and full of love. Dumped with her puppies on Christmas Eve, Sasha was rescued just in time by one of our amazing southern fosters. She was an incredible mom, nurturing and caring for her pups until they all found their forever homes. Now, it’s her turn to find the love she so truly deserves!Sasha is the perfect companion for families with children aged 8 and older. She’s playful, affectionate, and has an exuberant personality that matches her high energy. Whether she’s enjoying with her favorite toys, playing with you, or going for walks, she will keep your heart full and your home lively. And Mama has the typical husky vocalization that will surely keep you entertained. She is crate trained and leash savvy, She has never been unattended while in the home and outside of the crate but has not had an accident. Sasha is easy to handle on walks and enjoys occasional car trips. However, Sasha is protective of her food, so she does need to be fed separately to ensure peace and happiness at mealtime. She plays with other dogs at her foster home, and while never aggressive ,she does show dominance at times. She plats best with submissive dogs.If you’re looking for a loving, energetic husky with a zest for life, Sasha Mama is ready to bring endless joy to your home. She would thrive in a home with husky experience and a fenced yard where she can run, play, and be spoiled as the true princess she is! Story
Meet the beautiful Yvaine! More affectionately known by Evy, this gorgeous gal is more on the timid side than most. It takes her awhile to warm up, but once you've earned her trust, you've got an amazingly sweet friend for life. Watching this girl come out of her shell has been a shelter staff's greatest joys. We've discovered that she loves to give kisses, play ball, and just adores affection. A home with no other pets and only dog savvy kids would be the best match for Evy. Multiple meet and greets will be needed with everyone in Evy's new home to allow her a chance to build some trust with her new family before going home. We know that Yvaine will melt the hearts of whatever family welcomes her into their home! If you are interested in applying for Yvaine, please fill out an adoption application! Story
Meet Champie! This guy truly lives up to his name. As a pup that is eager to learn and is a rockstar with his commands. He's an active dog and would easily keep up with any kind of runner or hiker! Champie loves to play both with people and other dogs, so he can even go to a home with another dog! What Champie isn't great with however, is managing his curiosity. Champie is a bit of a trouble maker when it comes to getting into things that are not for him. A home where someone can be with Champie full time would be the ideal situation for him. If you are interested in applying for Champie, please fill out an adoption application! The application can be found on our website: https://www.rispca.org/adoptable-dogs
