Story
Max is a 10 year old male husky who has been a beloved part of our family since he was a puppy, and we are heartbroken to be looking for a new home for him. We recently welcomed a baby, and as she has become more mobile, we’ve noticed that Max is uncomfortable and showing signs that he does not like having her in his space. While he has never bitten her, we do not want to risk a situation where either he or our child could get hurt. Max is an easygoing dog who walks calmly by your side on a leash and has shared many wonderful memories with us over the years. We are hoping to find him a loving, child-free home where he can enjoy his remaining years in comfort, safety, and affection.

Story
Meet Esme Esme is a whole vibe. This 3-5 year old girl is equal parts zest and snuggle. Whether you want to cuddle on the couch, take a ride, work on some cooking in the kitchen, go for a long walk in the woods, or BBQ with friends, she's just happy to be involved. As long as there's air conditioning, that is. As you'd expect from a husky in a Pit Bull rescue, this girl can fit in anywhere. Some pups come with emotional baggage. Esme's is a bit more... physical. For her health and comfort, she could use some help shedding a few pounds (something we're already working on). Luckily she absolutely loves a long walk, and is always eager to step out. We suspect her energy will increase as her size decreases, so if you're looking to graduate from long walks to hikes, this is your girl. She also absolutely ADORES tennis balls, and is always down to play a little catch, or just entertain herself bouncing the ball around. This girl is on a journey. We don't know much about her past, but we know she's known love, and we're excited for her to find it again. She's only been in her foster home for a few days, but she's settled in quickly, proving to be a little goofy, deeply thoughtful, and up for anything - every time we ask "What do you say, Esme?", her answer is "Yes!". We're looking forward to learning more about her, and helping her find her forever - if you think that could be you, please reach out! Story
Meet Blue! 💙🐾 Blue is an absolutely stunning 11-month-old Husky with one icy blue eye and one warm brown — the kind of gaze that stops you in your tracks. His coat is thick, soft, and perfectly marked, and that smile? Completely contagious. He’s sweet, funny, and full of personality. Blue “talks” to you in that classic Husky way and has a goofy, playful charm that will keep you laughing. He’s super smart and picks up on new things quickly — crate trained, housebroken, and eager to please. Blue has a healthy amount of energy and would thrive with an active family who can give him some daily exercise or outdoor adventures. He’s friendly and does great with kids and other dogs, but would do best in a cat-free home since his instincts may lead him to chase them. Neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for his forever home — Blue is more than just gorgeous; he’s the whole package. ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
Meet Leah, our sweet one-year-old husky-Australian Shepherd mix who is being fostered in New England and is looking for her forever home! Leah is such a loving soul with a playful spirit that makes every day feel special. She absolutely adores kids and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a nice submissive play style. While she would be fine in an only dog home we would love to find her a family with a canine brother or sister. Leah’s favorite thing to do is snuggle up on the couch, soaking in all the love and attention she can get. She also loves going on adventures, whether it’s a small hike or walk around the neighborhood and her perfect home would be a nice mix of cuddles and activities. She rides beautifully in the car and is always excited to go on her outings. Leah knows how to sit and is eager to learn more, showing just how smart and willing she is to please. This little girl has a soft spot for stuffed toys and loves to carry them around, often looking for a cuddle buddy to share the fun with. Leah brings so much joy and warmth to those around her, and we can’t wait for her to find a family who will appreciate her playful nature and affectionate heart. If you're looking for a true companion to share your life with, Leah is ready to bring her love into your home!
