Story
5 months old. Evan was part of an "oops" litter of an unfixed mama dog belonging to a kind-hearted homeless lady. Evan currently lives in a foster home with his sister Ella, and two other doggie and two kittie siblings. He gets along with everyone and is quite respectful of their spaces. Evan and his littermates were only 8 weeks old and suffering from sarcoptic mange and dehydration when they were rescued off the streets by one of our team members. Their foster mom spent weeks taking care of them and treating them back to health. Despite his rough start, Evan is an extra sweet, very calm puppy, who loves humans and other furry friends, and trusts everyone easily. He is very sweet, affectionate, and obedient pup. He is highly intelligent and learns fast. Evan is very gentle, full of affection and sweetness. Evan is currently 26 lb, and growing. He will be a medium sized pup. He is up to date on his vaccination, is neutered, microchipped and kept on deworming schedule, as well as heartworm and flea preventatives. He is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas but can be transported to most states in USA and Canada. His transport fee is included in his adoption fee. Here is a video of Evan : https://vimeo.com/1090370836?share=copy To adopt our puppies, yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences. Adoption applications are available at savesomesouls.com, and if shortlisted as a match, we will reach out to you to schedule a facetime or video chat to meet our pups. Evan's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with all three boosters, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Interstate Health Certificate and transport fee for our out of state adopters. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our fosters, especially the long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
ALWAYS UP FOR AN ADVENTURE  DOB 5/1/22, weight 58 pounds Hey there, everyone! I’m Xena, a sweet, incredibly friendly, spirited Siberian Husky mix gal whose heart is as big as my beautiful blue eyes. Due to my congenial nature, I love making new friends, whether they’re hooman or other dogs. I’m always up for an adventure – whether it’s a hike, a run, or just a fun day at the park. When the day is done, though, I’m an affectionate gal who just wants to relax and cuddle with Foster Mom. Since I’m quite smart and eager to please, she’s had a joy training me. It’s hard to believe that I was hanging out as a stray with no collar, tags, or chip outside of a game shop. Who would not tear the neighborhood apart searching for me -- unless I was abandoned because my owner couldn’t afford to keep me as their pet anymore? Ah well, I’m not looking back! I was making a homeless man very agitated because the game store was "his territory." Thank heavens Foster Mom brought me home to foster me when she was alerted to my situation, and she promises to find me the fantastic forever home that I deserve the second time around. If you’re looking for a loyal, lovable, playful, and energetic companion for your active lifestyle, I’m ready to be your new best friend. Arrange to meet me today. I think you’ll find not only that am I stunningly beautiful eye candy, but also that spending time with me will a complete joy to your heart. HOPE ID: D24-0817-0033 If you are interested in Xena and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com  and a HOPE volunteer will get back to you. June 26, 2025, 11:14 pm

Story
5 months old Ella was only 8 weeks old, when she was found running on the streets, when our team member saved her from getting hit by a car. Soon after her littermates were located and brought them all to our rescue. Despite her rough start, Ella is a playful puppy, who loves humans and other furry friends, and trusts everyone easily. Ella and her four siblings were taken care of by their foster mom who brought them all slowly back to health. Ella is a sweet husky mix pup who thrives in the company of other dogs, jumping right into group play and keeping the energy up. She loves fast-paced games, tug-of-war, and running in circles chasing her tail. She will benefit from a home with a second playful pup. Ella is about 23 lb, and growing. She is current on her vaccination, spayed, is microchipped and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventatives. She likes to please her human, but she needs a patient adopter who can work with her puppy energy. She also needs to retrain with her housebreaking as she is a puppy. Ella is currently being fostered in Houston, but can be transported to any state in USA to the right home. Canadian applicants will need to pick her up from the US side due to Canada's law that prohibits transport of puppies under 8 months in vans. Check out Ella's video at https://vimeo.com/1092024170?share=copy#t=0 To adopt our puppies, yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences.
