Story
Meet Freddie! Backstory: Freddie was found on the streets of Houston as a stray and picked up by a good Samaritan. About Freddie: Freddie is a friendly, happy dog who has a great outlook on life. He likes toys of all kinds (especially destroying them!) and is a huge fan of snacks! He is full of energy and loves taking walks and playing in the backyard. He is a great cuddler, extremely loving and his most favorite activity is spending time with his family. Freddie has lived in a home with other dogs and did great! He has also completed several weeks of professional training and has great manners! He is SUPER smart, loves learning, aims to please and is very intuitive and "in tune" with his people! His new family will get several sessions free of charge with his training family and also be able to attend monthly group classes! Freddie would love to find an active, fun family to love forever! Age: 2-3 yrs Weight: 70 lbs Dogs? Ok Cats? can be discussed Kids? older kids ok Housetrained? yes Crate trained? yes Energy Level? 7 out of 10 Vocal Level? 7 out of 10 Other considerations: Freddie would do best with an experienced adopter; he's probably not the best fit for first-time dog owners; breed experience preferred but not required

Story
Meet Timber! He is a Siberian Husky/Malamute mix and is about 2 years old. He sadly came to us with a badly fractured leg. His surgery was last Monday and he is doing great. He is a very sweet and stunning dog. He is a bit vocal like most Huskies and loves to be outside. He is strong but, learning to walk well on the leash. He has done well in his play group of large dogs and is a joy to be around. Best car rider of the bunch. He needs to recover from his surgery and will be ready for his forever home. We would love a medical foster for him so he can rest quietly while he heals. Ask about Timber today. He is a special one!

Story
Froggy is a recent intake of ours. He was an owned dog, but he was allowed to roam the dangerous streets. We spotted him limping in the Texas heat, and scooped him up. His back leg was injured and so stiff, he couldn't even bend it. We tracked down his owners and they told us he was hit by a car at some point. They surrendered him over to us and unfortunately, his back leg couldn't be saved. He's recovering from an amputation but he's doing well for a tripod! He will continue to adjust over time. He's only about a year old, he's a Husky mix and he's been the sweetest boy! We'd love to find his forever home soon!Froggy got his name because he's a kiss away from becoming a prince!

Meet Thelma, the chatty and charismatic female Husky mix who is sure to steal your heart with her endless chatter!Thelma is a stunning two-year-old girl with a beautiful coat of fur that will leave you in awe. But it's not just her looks that make her special; it's her lively personality and expressive nature that truly set her apart. She finds joy in every moment and loves to share her enthusiasm with her human companions. Whether it's letting you know she's excited for a walk or simply wanting to engage in a lively conversation, Thelma will always keep you entertained.Underneath that vocal exterior lies a loving and affectionate nature. Thelma craves human interaction and thrives on being involved in her family's activities. She will undoubtedly make a loyal and dedicated companion who will shower you with kisses and cuddles whenever you need them.Thelma is an intelligent girl with a strong desire to please her humans. She is quick to learn and is eager to show off her obedience skills. With some additional training and guidance, Thelma has the potential to become an exemplary canine citizen. Mental stimulation and interactive games will also help keep her busy mind occupied.Due to her talkative nature, Thelma might not be the best fit for apartment living. She would benefit from a spacious home or, even better, a house with a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs and engage in her vocal expressions without disturbing neighbors. If you're someone who enjoys stimulating conversation, then Thelma might just be the perfect match for you. She is searching for a forever home where she will be loved and appreciated for her communicative nature and spirited personality. If you're ready to welcome Thelma into your life, reach out to us today to arrange a meeting. Adoption fees apply.Don't miss the opportunity to bring this talkative charmer into your life. Story
THRIVES ON HUMAN COMPANIONSHIP  Est. DOB 11/1/20, WEIGHT ~70 LB. Hello, my name is Kiki! I’m an Akita and some think I might be purebred! My original owners dumped me and my foster mom rescued me in her neighborhood. I am a very loyal and affectionate companion and I love nothing more than being by my person's side. I am a very well-behaved dog at home. I am content to lay by your side or at your feet while you relax or work. I am also very well-trained and always aim to please. My favorite trick is giving high-fives and I will stick my paw out when I’m looking for one. A cute quirk about me is I smack my lips when I eat treats! In addition to being a good girl, I am also very cute! I have a very soft, fluffy coat and gentle eyes that are sure to melt your heart. One of my favorite activities is going for car rides. I am a great passenger, as I jump in quickly to get buckled into my seatbelt and I’m very calm and well-behaved in the car. I love feeling the wind in my fur and all the wonderful smells. I love every human I meet and am a very gentle dog when interacting with people, even children. I love being petted and even cuddling with you. My favorite toys are bouncy Kongs or tennis balls and I can keep myself entertained with them for a good while. I have a dog roommate that I live with now who I am best friends with. My ideal home would be to live with just a male dog or no other animals. I prefer to be a home-living dog as I don’t like meeting new dogs (i.e. no dog parks for me!) I promise to be the best companion I can be and bring joy and love into your life. I hope you consider giving me a forever home.
