Story
WINNING PERSONALITY  DOB 5/29/21, weight 38 lbs. Meet Mary Beth! This gorgeous girl is on the smaller size for a Husky, but what she lacks in size, she makes up for with her winning personality.  She is very sociable and seeks human attention. She is good with children, very gentle, and very affectionate (and gives face kisses).  She rarely barks or howls, and she is not a good guard dog for alerting to people at the door.  Mary Beth would do great living in a cold climate!   She is typically high energy and athletic, being both fast and agile.  She will play tag/wrestle-mania with her sibling brother Charles who is twice her size, which often becomes very animated.  She gets really excited when she sees her leash that signals physical trips outside, either a walk in the neighborhood or a trip to the dog park.  She does well at dog parks and is very socialized with other dogs. Just like her sibling brother Charles, she needs physical activity every day or she’ll become bored.  She is very smart and inquisitive. She loves to "help you" in the kitchen if it means a tasty treat for her.  She is an escape artist and needs tall and secure fencing. Mary Beth would be a great addition to a pet parent that is familiar with the Husky breed and is looking for a new family member. She has spent her whole life with her sibling brother Charles, but they do not have to be adopted together as long as she has another medium / large size dog in her life. HOPE ID D25-0517-0027 Mary Beth’s $200 adoption fee includes the spay, vaccines, microchip, negative heartworm test, negative fecal test, and monthly prevention for heartworms and fleas.  To apply online, go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php.  Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Mary Beth will be at this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you. GENTLE GIANT  DOB 5/29/21, weight 74 lbs. Meet Charles! This stunning boy is large for this breed but otherwise could be the Siberian Husky poster dog. He has a “woolie” coat and, like all Huskies, a double coat.  Charles would do great living in a cold climate!   Charles is very sociable and can be affectionate and seek human attention too. He is good with children, very gentle. He rarely barks or howls except when he hears sirens when outside.  He is basically low-energy and very calm for the breed.  He will play tag/wrestle-mania with his sibling sister, Mary Beth, which often becomes very animated.  Trips to the dog park, walks in the neighborhood and treats really excite Charles.  He needs some physical activity every day. If given the chance he will escape and needs tall and secure fencing. Charles would be a great addition to a pet parent that is familiar with the Husky breed and is looking for a new family member. He has spent his whole life with his sibling sister Mary Beth but they do not have to be adopted together as long as he has another large dog in his life. Story
ALWAYS UP FOR AN ADVENTURE  DOB 5/1/22, weight 65 pounds Hey there, everyone! I’m Xena, a sweet, incredibly friendly, spirited Siberian Husky mix gal whose heart is as big as my beautiful blue eyes. Due to my congenial nature, I love making new friends, whether they’re hooman or other dogs. I’m always up for an adventure – whether it’s a hike, a run, or just a fun day at the park. When the day is done, though, I’m an affectionate gal who just wants to relax and cuddle with Foster Mom. Since I’m quite smart and eager to please, she’s had a joy training me. It’s hard to believe that I was hanging out as a stray with no collar, tags, or chip outside of a game shop. Who would not tear the neighborhood apart searching for me -- unless I was abandoned because my owner couldn’t afford to keep me as their pet anymore? Ah well, I’m not looking back! I was making a homeless man very agitated because the game store was 'his territory.' Thank heavens Foster Mom brought me home to foster me when she was alerted to my situation, and she promises to find me the fantastic forever home that I deserve the second time around. If you’re looking for a loyal, lovable, playful, and energetic companion for your active lifestyle, I’m ready to be your new best friend. Arrange to meet me today. I think you’ll find not only that am I stunningly beautiful eye candy, but also that spending time with me will a complete joy to your heart. HOPE ID: D24-0817-0033 Xena's $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. Story
Let’s give the biggest, happiest welcome to Harley! Aren’t these girls just the cutest? We think Hattie might actually be Harley’s mom , and both of them ended up at the shelter with their own little litters of puppies, which sadly put them on the euthanasia list. But now they’re safe and ready for their next chapter! Both girls weigh just about 30-35 pounds and are bursting with sweetness and love. Harley’s a playful little mischief-maker who’s always ready for fun, while Hattie is a classy lady who just wants all the pets and cuddles. We know it’s tricky to find homes for two pups, and they’re not even boarding together, so they don’t have to be adopted as a pair—but honestly, two is always better than one, right? We’d love for them to stick together if possible, but it’s not a must! Right now, we’re looking for fosters or forever homes for these cuties! Visit www.scoutshonor.org for more information about fostering or adopting! December 4, 2025, 7:58 pm

Story
5 yo Axel and his sister Canada were rescued by their foster mom from a backyard breeder, and it was clear that they have gone through a lot in life. They are now looking for their forever home, where they can chase each other and play in a fully fenced yard. Axel and Canada are very calm and quiet husky-malamute pups, weighing 60 lb. They are not socialized much, so we would like to find them a home with no other pets. Axel and Canada used to live in a crate 24 hours and used for breeding only. They came to us sad and depressed. They only had each other, therefore we are unwilling to separate them, as they really need each other after going through so much. They were going to be put down, as the landlord of the place where they live, is threatening to take them to the pound, and the neighbor threatens to poison them. But this is very Texas. Their foster mom lives in fear for that and we hope we can find them a great home. They both enjoy being outside and going on car rides. They know the leashes very well. They get very excited, so they will pull when walking them. They need a dog owner with active lifestyles and plenty of time. They know to shake before going into the house. They know their beds. They know to sit before taking a snack. They both enjoy being outside chewing on a rawhide-free toy under the sun. They do like sun-bathing. Canada is the female black and white Siberian Husky. She is about 60 lbs. She enjoys lower back scratches and being brushed. Canada likes to watch and stare at anything you do. She is a curious girl. She is still hesitant about humans. So please be easy and slow with her. She likes to start by smelling your hands. I guess that’s her way of knowing if their evil hands or good hands. She does not do well with children of all ages, just adults. She doesn’t mind meeting other dogs. Axel is the white malamute/husky mix. He is about 63 lbs, and he is a jolly boy. He will greet anyone with a big grin, a wagging tail, and the happy energy that only a husky can emanate. He will sit with his back against your two feet and wait for pets. He is smart. He knows the drill. Once you have a routine, he will get it quickly. He likes to get on furniture. His personality is lively. He is a toy hogger. He likes to have access to all the toys. He doesn’t like meeting other dogs, especially small breeds. He prefers to only play with his sister, Canada. He loves getting his belly rubbed. He enjoys cuddles, too. These two need positive reinforcement after what they have been through. They deserve a chance to live the other half of their lives being huskies. Canada and Axel both really have the best of hearts. They just need love. They are fully vetted, fixed and chipped. They would do good with anyone with previous husky experience. They are bonded, so they have to find a home where they can be adopted together. They are not tested with cats, and they do get excited upon seeing dogs. They are both heartworm negative and is kept on heartworm and flea preventative. The pups are being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. Their adoption fee and transport fee together is $500 To meet these gorgeous pups via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
