Meet Wesson: Wesson is a 5-year-old Standard Poodle mix with a gentle and timid nature. He was originally rescued from Arkansas and later adopted, but returned when he didn’t adjust well to living with a smaller dog. Based on this experience, we recommend Wesson go home with a dog closer to his size—or larger—if he is to have a canine companion. Wesson is naturally timid and may take some time to fully open up to new people. With patience, consistency, and gentle encouragement, he gradually reveals his sweet and affectionate personality. He walks fairly well on a leash and enjoys calm, guided walks and quiet time with his people. Wesson would thrive in a home that can offer a steady, calm environment, understanding of his timid nature, and space to build confidence at his own pace. With the right approach, Wesson will become a loyal, loving companion and a cherished member of his forever family.
