Meet Mia our sweet porty who is so happy and playful when her world is right !!! she prefers to be in the house with you or with other animals , she was used to a goldendoodle that we rehomed this last summer and we didnt realize how much she depended on her for a companion ....she loves to be outside when we are out . Mia does not do well alone or in tight spaces , she crawls out of kennels and hates not being where you are . She does fine alone if she has a furry friend that she can bond with .....look forward to talking with you!!!!!

Story
Oreo came into our lives 7 months ago. We rescued him from a local shelter. He had been given up due to landlord rules. Oreo is the sweetest most loyal dog you will ever meet. He has incredibly kind energy that all dogs and kids are drawn to him, even with histories of being nervous around larger dogs. Our main reason for needing to rehome Oreo is because of our 4 year old son. Oreo is very attached to me and gets upset when my son tries to take my attention away. We've spent thousands of dollars on training and while things improved, the tension is too much for us right now. I wish we could re-home Oreo temporarily and take him in 2 years :( I think Oreo would do best in a home with older kids/adults. Younger kids are totally safe with him but he becomes nervous when they take attn away from his owners. I'm happy to answer any questions about Oreo. I am not rushing rehoming as I want to make sure he goes to a kind family. Whoever gets him will be lucky! He's a very sweet boy❤️

Story
Meet Lily!! A very sweet and gentle Portuguese Water Dog. Lily is almost 5 years old, DOB 12-31-20. She weighs 32 lbs. Love-A-Stray had her spayed, completely vaccinated, and she is micro-chipped. Lily is scheduled for a professional grooming at Polished Paws for a traditional PWD cut. Lily lived with her confident littermate since she was a puppy and depended on her to set the tone. Now her littermate has been adopted, and Lily is working on building her own confidence. Lily really is a special sweet doggo. She gets a little startled by loud noises, BUT she makes the effort to come and see what is happening—she doesn’t just run and hide. She is adjusting very well and doing better each and every day. Lily would love a home with another dog, and she will require a fenced-in yard (not electric) so she has the freedom to run and play. She LOVES to cuddle and sit on your lap too! She will follow her human around the house. ;-) Lily is working on walking well on lead. Her foster said she is doing really well. She does, however, love going outside to explore in her fosters fenced-in yard. Lily is crate trained, but since she’s not a chewer and very well behaved, the fosters has given her free run of multiple rooms, and Lily does great and can be trusted "home alone". Lily is completely potty trained. She also knows the meaning of “no.” if she decides to stand on her hind legs to see what's on the counter LOL. She really listens well. Lily sleeps in a dog bed at night and stays in bed all night and doesn’t wander. She also loves to nap in her bed during the day—a lot! 😄 She will make a great dog for the right person. A low-key environment would be best. Lily is not a super high-energy dog. She’s mostly cuddly or nappy after a couple of outside bouts. If you are interested in Lily, please submit an online application, so we can learn a little about you to make sure Lily would be a good match. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $ 350.00.00 completely vetted.
