Aurora is a very sweet girl but is having trouble getting along with her male canine sibling. Aurora is great during car rides and knows the command 'sit'. Aurora dislikes and/or fears strange men, but only enough to bark at bit at them initially until she warms up to them (she does the same thing with new people); although Aurora doesn't live with a man, she loves when her 'grandpa' comes to visit Aurora's guardian offers the following: "Aurora takes a bit to get used to new people, but once she does she's the sweetest girl. Even though she's 75lbs she still thinks she's a lap dog and will insist to lay on your lap while on the couch. Once she's found her person she will always be by your side and always ready for an adventure. She is also super silly and will make you laugh daily. I have raised her since she was 3 weeks old and since she was 3 weeks old she has this blanket that she loves (and would go with her) that she makes biscuits and nibbles on like a cat. I am going to miss her dearly but she's just not getting along with one of my other dogs and it's just not fair to him or her to continue living with me. " Aurora's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her: "In the last month and a half she has started attacking my other dog in the house. She's a very sweet girl otherwise but just needs to be the only dog. I would love to be able to keep her but I tried everything to keep her from attacking him. The attacks seem unprovoked and not over anything like resources." BITE INCIDENTS: Longer than 10 days ago, Aurora bit her canine sibling; the bite broke the skin, animal control was not involved, and only antibiotics were required for treatment. Aurora's guardian offers a brief medical history: "Some wounds from fighting my other dog. One needed staples; the others were just antibiotics." Aurora's guardian states the following regarding children: Aurora lives with a 4yo child, so her guardian recommends her living with children, although her guardian states Aurora never had the opportunity to be around children outside the home. Auroras guardian states the following regarding dogs: Aurora lives with a dog, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs (as explained above), while adding "She's a bit nervous when she's around dogs she doesn't know. Aurora has been fine with my small dog, a shih tzu and has been fine with other dogs at the dog park. It just seems to be her and my male dog that have an issue with each other." Aurora's guardian states the following regarding cats: Aurora lives with a cat, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "She has been fine with my cat but my cat mostly stays out of the way. I'm not sure how she would be with a more active cat." Aurora's guardian describes her as: Very active Playful Friendly Affectionate Always at your side House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes women Aurora's guardian describes hers ideal future home: "She has a lot of energy so someone who is active, has no other pets and willing to do more training with her would be the perfect fit for this sweet girl. Definitely would benefit from a fenced-in yard, as she loves to run and play." Rehoming Fee: None Location: Crofton, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS 1.
