Don’t let her name fool you, Big Momma is a compact 60 pound snuggle bug! She loves to live the lazy life and take naps under the window in the sun, sleep in on weekends, and take more naps while watching Food Network. In between napping, she loves to play fetch, destroy toys, and go for walks around the neighborhood. She currently does well in her quiet foster home with one human and another mellow, well-socialized dog. While she doesn’t seem to understand how to play with other dogs, she loves to take naps with her resident dog sister and has started to show more signs of understanding or wanting to play. Big Momma can be hesitant around new people and can be dog selective. She has recently warmed up to strangers a bit more, though! High-energy environments can be too much for her, but she will thrive and live her best life in a quiet household. She’s crate trained and knows basic commands (sit, off, wait, on your bed) and is learning more. She’s very smart and picks up on new things quickly. Big Momma would make a great companion for someone who wants a mellow canine friend who lets them sleep in on weekends! He’s a total people-lover — leaning in for pets, wanting to be near you, and eager to say hello to everyone he meets. Curious and playful, Ghost loves exploring on walks, playing with toys, and sharing in all the fun. He’s also a huge fan of good scratches or snuggles, making him the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch companion. Strong and confident, Ghost is best suited for a home with someone experienced with large dogs. While usually calm and friendly, he can get excited during play or when greeting new people and dogs — that’s when his size really shines! He knows “sit,” takes treats gently, and loves to learn, making him a very trainable, eager-to-please companion. Ghost is a loyal, affectionate, playful giant who’s ready to fill a home with love, laughs, and plenty of tail wags!
