Smokey is extremely cuddly and wants nothing more than to lay in your lap while you watch TV. He has lots of energy and loves to be outside. He loves toys but doesn`t play fetch unless he`s in the right mood for it. He knows basic commands but will need more leash training. Smokey has perfect eyeliner on and a cute short snout. He is a sweet, loving, loyal, energetic little baby and is looking for his forever home.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say hi to Ruth! Ruth is said to be a Pug/Beagle Mix.  Ruth is a very  busy gal and she can jump high for her age, but her long legs may be helping..  Ruth loves attention and will hold still for a bit in a lap, before she is off again exploring and wrestling with her siblings. Ruth is still  a young puppy and  needs guidance in learning puppy basics, like potty training, what not to chew and overall  manners that a young puppy must learn.  She loves to chew on hard toys and loves toys that crinkle. She  loves to rearrange her blankets to her liking. Ruth's adoption fee of $285.00 includes  her current age appropriate vaccines (adopter is responsible for remaining vaccines), deworming, and her microchip.  She is already spay and ready to go. Story
Figgy came to us from Arizona Humane where she was at risk due to some treatable and common old age issues. Figgy has a bit of arthritis but gets along very well and she also got a dental cleaning with extractions while in rescue. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Figgy is estimated 9-10 years and is around 18 lbs. Figgy does have some cloudiness in her eyes so likely has some vision impairment but is not blind and her hearing seems pretty good. In typical pug fashion Figgy is definitely a connoisseur (lover of all food). She is sweet and easy going and funny! She walks nicely on leash, has good house manners, is mostly housebroken with a dog door but will also use potty pads when she can't make it out quick enough. Figgy also does ok in a crate though can be left to free roam and will not get into things she shouldn't. Figgy is a gentle soul and could easily fit into lots of different types of home situations. Story
Meet Butkus....yep he is definitely not a shar pei. Call it a moment of weakness but seriously how could we let this guy get euthanized over some pretty breed specific medical issues which happen to be right up our alley in the shar pei world. Butkus might be the happiest boy ever. He loves everyone. His tail never stops wagging or what whatever you call that little nub.  Thank God he is cute and sweet because this guy is not the brightest bulb on the tree. So if you are the person who likes your dogs good looking and sweet and not concerned if they never figure out how to sit this is your guy! He loves car rides but so far is not a fan of walking but we are convinced with the help of Bertha he will realize how much he loves it. He is a good sized boy at 58lbs. He was seen by our vet yesterday and like Bertha did have decreased tear production in both eyes. He will need his cherry eyes addressed at time of surgery. His skin is already improved with regular bathing. Fostering in phoenix AZNovember 21, 2025, 11:35 am

Story
Are you wondering what a shar pei rescue is doing with a pair of bulldogs...well so are we! It was a complete moment of weakness. Meet Bertha. This girl is as wide as she is tall but she has started her intermittent fasting, youtube ab videos and twice a day walks. This girl loves to walk so we are excited to see her waist line start to become visible This girl is great with people and other dogs. She did come in with her man Butkus but they do not need to be adopted together but we would love to see her go to a home with another dog. They had their first vet visit and honestly all their medical issues are pretty much identical to the medical problems we see with Shar Pei. Her tear production was reduced so we are going to assume she will need lifetime eye drops to replace that decreased tear production. Her skin was in great shape but did have an ear infection so an adopter that is familiar with weekly ear maintenance. She loves car rides and walks great on a leash. She is very friendly with all the dogs and people she meets on her daily walks.  She is fostering in Phoenix AZNovember 21, 2025, 11:14 am
