Story
If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.   Wookie is an extraordinary little gentleman, approximately four years old, and currently weighing around 13 pounds. His background remains a mystery, as he was found as a stray in poor condition and brought to a shelter for care. In terms of his interactions with other animals, Wookie gets along well with dogs of all sizes. However, his reaction to cats is uncertain at this time. As for children, there is no information available regarding his behavior towards them. Upon his arrival at the shelter, Wookie had to undergo several medical procedures. He had Foxtail in his nose, an eye infection, and a hernia, all of which required attention. Additionally, he was neutered, and extensive dental work was performed to restore his oral health. Thanks to the dedicated care he received, Wookie is now in excellent health. He has even shed a few pounds, indicating an improvement in his overall well-being. While he enjoys snuggling and being by your side, he does have moments of independence. Wookie is highly motivated by food, making it an effective tool for positive reinforcement. Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $400  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2008222##
