She will not be traveling out of state. Polly is an adorable young pug who was found wandering the streets of Huntington Park, and now she’s looking for a foster or forever home in Los Angeles. While we don’t know her exact age, Polly is believed to be around 1–2 years old. She has likely had at least one litter in her short life, but those days are behind her. Now it’s her turn to be loved, cherished, and spoiled. Polly has the sweetest, gentlest personality. She loves being close to her people and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. She is the definition of a velcro dog and would much rather snuggle with her humans than spend her day roughhousing. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and has even been around a rabbit without showing any interest. While she enjoys the company of other animals, she’s more of a social butterfly than a playmate. You’ll often find her quietly hanging out alongside other dogs rather than engaging in rowdy play sessions. When Buster first arrived in rescue, he weighed a staggering 34 pounds—far more than his little body was meant to carry. Years of excess weight had taken a toll on him, making even simple activities difficult. Walking was a challenge, and his skin folds required constant care. Despite everything, Buster never lost his sweet spirit. Thanks to the unwavering love, dedication, and patience of his foster mom, Buster's life has been completely transformed. Through carefully measured meals, exercise, medical care, and endless encouragement, he has shed much of the weight that once held him back. Today, he's only a few pounds away from reaching his goal weight and is enjoying life in ways he never could before. Buster will need a daily thyroid pill for the rest of his life, as well as antifungal cream applied to the skin creases left behind from when he was so overweight. These simple routines help keep him healthy, comfortable, and thriving. What truly makes Buster special is his personality. He's a lovable, sweet-natured boy who adores people and enjoys being part of the family. After everything he's endured, he greets each day with happiness, gratitude, and a wagging tail. Olivia is an adorable 6-year-old pug mix with just a touch of Frenchie charm. She’s sweet, loving, energetic, and surprisingly athletic for her size, weighing about 25 pounds. Her owner recently suffered a fall and is unfortunately no longer able to care for her. Olivia was originally rescued at around 1 year old after experiencing severe abuse, but thanks to years of love and excellent care, she has completely come out of her shell and overcome that difficult start in life. Today, Olivia is a happy, affectionate dog who loves both people and other dogs. She does great at the small dog park and has lots of energy. She would probably excel at agility or any activity where she can stay active and engaged. She loves walks, exploring the yard, and learning new things — she even learned to use the dog door very quickly. Olivia knows basic commands, is fully house-trained, and is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick medications. She doesn’t chew on things that aren’t hers, loves belly rubs, and is truly a wonderful all-around companion.
