Story
Hi, it's me Winnie Da Pooh! I am ready to find my forever home! I'm a petite little girl who loves to run and chase rabbits! My foster family tell me I'm a real snug bug! I get along great with dogs. My fur foster brother loves to snuggle with me! I am totally fine with that but I'm not one to wrestle like he wants to. It took me awhile to warm up to my foster dad. He was very patient with me and now we are best buddies. Foster mom thinks some man may have done something not very nice to me. I like car rides and I am not afraid of the vacuum. I do get startled easily so I don't think I would be a good match with a young family. My canines kinda stick out and it seems I'm nibbling cause they get in the way. I'm also not too sure about new people coming into the house. Next time someone comes by, I'm going to go outside and meet them and then we'll come in together. Hopefully they bring me a treat! I love treats!! I'm not food or toy aggressive either. I'm totally potty trained too!! I'm really a very good girl; I just have those few quirks. We all can't be perfect but I'm pretty close!

Story
Nola is ready for her forever family. She is healthy and happy. She is just one year old and she was very sick when she came to us. It took some time and some medication but she is doing great. She will continue with fish oil, allergy medication (otc)and thyroid medication probably lifetime. I just add them to her food and she takes them fine. She has a recessed vulva and has had one uti with us. This is something that will need monitoring. If she continues to have frequent uti’s she could need a vulvoplasty. She has learned sit, lie down, roll over, off, stay, leave it, bring it. No is definitely a work in progress. Some others are still a work in progress. She is crate trained. We have left her out in the family room for short periods of time when I have to run errands and she snoozes on the couch. I usually crate her and she does well with it. She will sometimes take naps in her crate. I do have a camera that I can watch her through. She is a Bulldog and very stubborn. We are working on not jumping on people when they come to the house. It’s only people she doesn’t see often. She gets excited. She is very food motivated and loves her “cookies”. She takes a cookie very gently. I have the littles tell her “easy” when they give her cookies just to make sure she does. The 3yo loves having her lie down and roll over and gives her cookies. She weighs 50 lbs and should stay there. She walks well on a leash. She is potty trained. She barks at you when she needs to go out. Has not had an accident in the house for quite awhile now. I do have an incontinent pad down in the bedroom just in case and she has used it in the past. I put it down where she would have her accidents. She is good with any care I need to perform, like cleaning the small wrinkles on her face or her ears. I also clean around her vulva every so often to keep it as clean as possible. She is very good with the littles. I have grandkids ages 3, 4, 6 and 9. She doesn’t jump on them and sees them frequently. She has lots of energy, more than most of the Bulldogs I have known. She is extremely fast and will do zoomies outside. She likes her toys. She loves her yak chews. She has a rooster soccer ball that she absolutely loves. Her endurance is more than my usual experience with bulldogs. For this reason we will require the home to have a fence. Story
Grey had a rough start to life and came to IEBR when she was 5 months old. Grey is now 2 yrs old. Grey was born with spina bifida, a congenital defect of the spinal cord. As a result, she has some weakness in her hind limbs and is a fully incontinent diaper girl. Grey has the sweetest disposition and loves all people after her initial stranger danger warning. Over time Grey’s personality showed us that she really didn’t’ care for any other fur siblings in or around her people ( or any people within her eye sight really). She’s jealous with just the thought that another fur might get the persons attention and for this reason Grey would do best in a family that has no other animal. It’s a tough one because if she isnt’ in the jealous mood she will even toss her toy at the cat to try and engage play but it’s too risky as she is unpredictable in her behavior around other pets when there is a human nearby. She loves a comfy couch but is content in her dog bed . Grey does have a ball obsession and has her favorite ball of the month, she will beg you to play catch with her and it’s a toss up if she will give you the ball to throw or hold it for you to stare at it in awe. Grey has three modes: sacked out and snoring, sweet and cuddly, and up and ready to play and won’t leave you alone until you throw her ball at least a few times. Her puppy energy comes out in little bursts throughout the day and she gets restless without daily exercise, so play time and/or daily short walks are a must. The rest of the time she is happy to nap. Grey is an “alerter”, and gives a bark when she hears something out of the ordinary or a knock at the door. Her ideal living situation would be a home with few stairs (she can climb stairs but it’s not easy for her and going down more than 1-2 steps she will drop her hips and drag herself down). Maintenance includes normal bulldog stuff like cleaning face wrinkles and ears and administering eye ointment for her mild entropian ( vet suggested no surgery as long as drops work but if gets worse or if she has surgery for something else to address at that time) . Grey requires diaper changes every 4-5 hours during the day. Her skin is prone to irritation, so it's important that she has daily diaper-free “naked time” to allow her skin to breathe and air out and help prevent uti’s. Currently Grey is not crated at all and gets her daily air time while ball playing outside and laying around outside relaxing while her person is piddling around in the yard. Grey would like her future family to know that bathtime is the BEST time and she has no problems getting in for either a quick butt wash or full on bath/shower. She lives every day like it’s Tongue Out Tuesday and greets every morning like it’s the Best Day Ever. What more could you wish for? This sweet, sensitive, smart, funny girl will be a loyal and loving member of a lucky forever family!
