An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If you’re looking for a happy, fun-loving sidekick, Jack Jack might be your perfect match! He’s a friendly, outgoing pup who loves being part of the action—whether that means chasing a frisbee, going for a walk, or squeezing into your lap for some quality cuddle time. He's an 8-year-old Boston Terrier who weighs 26.2 pounds. Jack Jack has been diagnosed with lumbosacral disease and may also have Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), which can affect the spine. Because of this, he has some ataxia, meaning his gait can be a bit wobbly at times. The good news is that he is comfortable and not currently in pain, and he gets around just fine in his day-to-day life.   Jack Jack is mostly house-trained, though a belly band can help when he’s roaming the house. He tolerates his crate just fine, but his true preference is snuggling up in bed with his humans at night. This playful guy enjoys toys, a good game of fetch or frisbee, and romping around with his canine pals. He does well with other dogs and has been great with children, including his foster’s youngest human sibling who is 8. Cats, however, are not his thing, so he’ll need a cat-free home. While a fenced yard isn’t required, it would definitely be a dream for him to have a safe place where he can zoom around and burn off some of that happy energy. Bugs is a 3-year-old Boston Terrier weighing in at a compact 17 pounds, and he’s equal parts charm, energy, and goofy determination. He’s a happy, friendly little guy who loves being near his people, whether that means following you from room to room, curling up in your lap, or hopping in the car for your next adventure. He’s crate trained, rides well in the car, and settles in nicely at home, often choosing his own cozy spot to relax. Bugs is an active boy who would love a home that can keep up with him. He enjoys long walks, playtime, and any opportunity to stretch his legs. He’ll need a securely fenced yard where he can safely run and burn off energy, plus he won't potty on leash.  Bugs has a strong instinct to chase anything that scampers by. With his tongue out constantly, adorable Fenway is quickly winning over the hearts of his foster family! He immediately warmed up to the 4.5 year little girl- the first night, he fell asleep laying in her arms! That said, he is very kid friendly! We are so happy to see him get more and more comfortable everyday. He absolutely loves affection. He loves being snuggled, especially when lying in bed. Even when outside sunbathing on the deck, he wants to be right up against the foster family’s 10 year old pitbull. Everyday he is gaining confidence learning all the new things - stairs, car rides, commands, walking on a leash, his name! He does great in a kennel, sleeps well in it and has had no messes in it. He’s eating great, and we haven’t seen any signs of food aggression. His demeanor is so calm and sweet! He’s definitely a shadow dog, wants to follow everyone everywhere, wants to be everyone's friend! He’s just an absolute sweetheart- and would be the perfect addition to a loving home. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention.
