I'm affectionate and friendly, with a playful spirit that'll keep you entertained — though I'm happy to snooze beside you when the adventure winds down. I was a bottle fed, c-section baby so I love my people family, and love to be held. My surgery is scheduled for July 13th and I will be available to go home with you after that. I am Kano the Puggy Wow Wow! I know, I know that is not how you spell Chihuahua, but I think that I am a Wow Wow Pug! Or rather a “Chug” is the official name of my breed. I am only a little over 4 months old, and 10 pounds so based on those calculations, I should be under 25# when fully grown. Unless you feed me too much, that would be ok with me as I LOVE to eat!! I like to think of myself as a gourmet! I used to have some issues with my breathing and snorting but I recently had a “nose Job” and now my breathing is so great, and my energy is so much that I can now do zoomies around the yard! They also did some snip-snip in the nether regions so I can’t be a daddy puppy anymore but that is ok. If I can breathe better, it is a great trade off! I love kids, dogs, cats, people in general, and am learning to walk on a leash and be a proper little Chug. I am very smart and learn quickly. I taught myself the doggie door within a day of arriving at my foster home and am almost completely housetrained because I let myself in and out when I need to go. If you are looking for a sweet, energetic companion to go with you on walks or snuggle on the sofa at home, here I am! Adoption fee in Texas is $350. Out of State adoption fee with Transport is $650.

Meet KEATS, a happy-go-lucky Beagle mix looking for a home. He is the sweetest boy, always so happy to meet new friends, play and cuddle. Keats is about 4 years old and fully grown at 23 pounds. We believe he's a puggle-type mix, probably more beagle than pug but he has those adorable flippy puggle ears. Keats walks well on a leash, is a perfect passenger in the car and appears to be housebroken. Unfortunately Keats was bitten by the wrong mosquito and has tested positive for heartworms. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON HEARTWORM PREVENTION!! It's not a severe case and he will be undergoing treatment with our vet. He's fine to go to a home and poses no threat to the health of animals or people. He does need to go to a greater Cincinnati-area home in order to accommodate his treatment which will be paid for by the rescue. Keats is fine with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. If you'd like to meet Keats, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Keats at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at Petsmart Eastgate.  Keats will go to an adoptive home on an extended trial adoption basis, his adoption will be finalized after he completes his treatment. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
