I’m an adorable pug/Dachshund mix, and I made my way here after a stay at Bandera Animal Control—but honestly, I’m just focused on the good stuff now… like PLAYTIME. I’ve got a big personality packed into a little body, and I’m full of energy and fun. I LOVE to play. Toys? Yes, please—all of them. I’ll chase them, toss them, and keep myself (and you) entertained. I’ve always got a little bounce in my step, and I’m happiest when I’m running around or right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. I’m super friendly and love everyone I meet, so making new friends is kind of my thing. I do get excited (okay, really excited), and I might bark to let you know just how happy I am—but that’s just me being me! Life is exciting, and I’m here for it. After I’ve burned off some energy, I’m more than happy to hang out and soak up attention. I just love being part of the action. I might need a little help with potty training at first, but I’m a smart guy and with some patience and consistency, I’ll get the hang of it in no time. My adoption fee is $400. If you want to take me home, apply at www.adoggie4you.org. I’m currently in Texas, but I can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast. If I need a ride to you, there’s an additional $225 transport fee. This sweet senior girl has quickly shown everyone what a wonderful companion she is. Sweetpea sleeps quietly through the night, is crate trained, and is doing very well with her potty training. She loves her daily walkies, gets excited for treats, and enjoys spending time with her people. Sweetpea gets along great with other dogs and cats and is gentle with both adults and children. She has a calm, loving personality and would make a wonderful addition to almost any family. As a senior dog, Sweetpea deserves a forever home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by love, comfort, and companionship. In return, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, sweet snuggles, and endless gratitude. If you're looking for a faithful friend who still has plenty of love to give, Sweetpea may be the perfect match for you. "She may be a senior, but Sweetpea's best chapter is still waiting to be written." All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Meet KEATS, a happy-go-lucky Beagle mix looking for a home. He is the sweetest boy, always so happy to meet new friends, play and cuddle. Keats is about 4 years old and fully grown at 23 pounds. We believe he's a puggle-type mix, probably more beagle than pug but he has those adorable flippy puggle ears. Keats walks well on a leash, is a perfect passenger in the car and appears to be housebroken. Unfortunately Keats was bitten by the wrong mosquito and has tested positive for heartworms. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS ON HEARTWORM PREVENTION!! It's not a severe case and he will be undergoing treatment with our vet. He's fine to go to a home and poses no threat to the health of animals or people. He does need to go to a greater Cincinnati-area home in order to accommodate his treatment which will be paid for by the rescue. Pierce is fine with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. If you'd like to meet Pierce, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Keats at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at Petsmart Eastgate.  Keats will go to an adoptive home on an extended trial adoption basis, his adoption will be finalized after he completes his treatment. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Zeus is a10 year-old Brindle Boston mix, 33 pounds of muscle, with a gentle mouth; he's a very loving guy who loves to play with dogs his size.  He's a bit energetic for smaller dogs, but played with our 10# puppy every day. Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence.  He doesn't like cats and doesn't like having his nails cut. Up to date on shots, heartworm negative, crate and house trained.  He's a great dog. Please send your phone number to learn more about Zeus.
