I’m an adorable pug/Dachshund mix, and I made my way here after a stay at Bandera Animal Control—but honestly, I’m just focused on the good stuff now… like PLAYTIME. I’ve got a big personality packed into a little body, and I’m full of energy and fun. I LOVE to play. Toys? Yes, please—all of them. I’ll chase them, toss them, and keep myself (and you) entertained. I’ve always got a little bounce in my step, and I’m happiest when I’m running around or right in the middle of whatever you’re doing. I’m super friendly and love everyone I meet, so making new friends is kind of my thing. I do get excited (okay, really excited), and I might bark to let you know just how happy I am—but that’s just me being me! Life is exciting, and I’m here for it. After I’ve burned off some energy, I’m more than happy to hang out and soak up attention. I just love being part of the action. I might need a little help with potty training at first, but I’m a smart guy and with some patience and consistency, I’ll get the hang of it in no time. My adoption fee is $400. If you want to take me home, apply at www.adoggie4you.org. I’m currently in Texas, but I can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast. If I need a ride to you, there’s an additional $225 transport fee. Meet Em & Em, EMERSON & EMILIE, 2 little mixed breed pups looking for homes. We believe these girls are Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mixes, about 8 months old and fully grown at 15-16 pounds. They are sweet and playful, full of puppy hijinks. They love attention and treats. Emerson and Emilie do not need to stay together, in fact we believe they would be better off going to different homes where they can get plenty of individual attention and training. Both girls are ideally suited to homes where they will have another playful, friendly dog to hang out with. They are both housebroken, dog friendly and okay with cats as long as they have a dog playmate. Please trust us when we say they are gorgeous but posing for photos is just not their thing because they are busy puppies! Emerson and Emilie have been in limbo for several months. When they landed in a rural shelter, they were identified as boxers and a boxer rescue agreed to take them so they went to a foster. However while they waited for transport they did not grow into boxers. 6 month old boxer pups are around 40 lbs and these girls are topping out at 16ish pounds at 8 months. When they didn't grow up to be boxers they had no place to go so we said yes to these cuties. It was an easy decision, Boston Terriers are adorable! If you'd like to meet Emilie or Emilia, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Em & Em at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Petal is about 2 years old and fully grown at just 21 pounds. Our best guess on breed is a beagle/pug/Boston terrier mix. She has an adorable underbite. Petal is a lively girl who would love an active home where she gets plenty of exercise. She needs a home with another playful dog who can match her energetic play style.
