Story
Priscilla is a tiny goofball pug who is easygoing, loves other dogs and just loves to be where her people are. She's down to be a couch potato with you or go exploring when adventure calls! Priscilla easily goes into her crate and considers it to be her safe space where she can chill out. Her favorite thing right now is breakfast! Being a stray, she was a little underweight and her coat was thin as well. Now that she is receiving proper care and getting her heartworm addressed, she is feeling much better. None of this ever dampened her spirit and she will even dance in circles when happy! Priscilla needs a loving home and a family who is willing to help her along with leash training, and getting used to going outside if her new home. Priscilla hasn't met cats or kids, but is such a doll that she will likely be great with kids. Cats TBD. Priscilla can't wait to brighten up your home and life with her lovable, goofy nature! Priscilla is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 6/27/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. ---- This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.

Story
Location: Champlin, MN This little goofy boy is Gary! Gary and his brother, Larry (see his page!), came into rescue together. They are 1.5-years-old! Ideally, they would be adopted together, but if separate, then go to a home with a confident dog to give them guidance! Gary is very timid of new people and experiences at first, but as soon as he realizes you're safe, or the toy is fun, or the bone is actually yummy he is ALL IN. Gary has medium energy, he gets very excited to see me, gets his wiggles out, and then happily will sit on my lap. Gary is potty trained. Right now he and his brother, Larry, have been in a room together at night. He will whine for a few minutes and then settle down. When he hears you awake in the morning he will let you know! He enjoys being outside. Gary does well with other low and medium energy dogs, he likely wouldn't do well with high energy dogs. Gary grazes his food right now, but could be trained to eat just two meals a day if that is needed. He thinks most dog treats are gross besides the soft beef ones, but is definitely up for a good bone and some chicken jerky strip chews. They have been around older kids and do well, no experience to comment on about young kids or cats though. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Larry is a little timid of new people and experiences at first, but as soon as he realizes you're safe, or the toy is fun, or the bone is actually yummy he is ALL IN. It'll only take you a day to win Larry over and then get ready for so many kisses! Larry has medium energy, he enjoys running around and wrestling his brother. He enjoys being outside.
