Story
If you're looking for a happy, playful, family-friendly pup, Coco Loco might just be the gal for you! This sweet little pug has successfully lived with dogs, cats, children, and even a rabbit! She's friendly with everyone she meets and absolutely loves being part of the action. Whether it's a game of fetch, tug-of-war, chasing her dog friends around the yard, or a good old-fashioned wrestling match, Coco Loco is always ready for fun. Walks are one of her favorite things in the world! The moment she hears the leash, her little cinnamon roll tail starts wagging with excitement. She'd love a family who enjoys getting outside together. Coco Loco is currently thriving in a busy home with children ages 6, 9, and 13, plus a steady stream of neighborhood kids during the summer. She adores the attention, happily soaking up cuddles and handing out plenty of puppy kisses. She would make an amazing addition to a family with kids. She does tend to stay right underfoot so making sure you know where she is will be important so you don’t trip over her! If you haven’t already applied to meet her, what are you waiting for?! She is going to be such a great dog for a lucky family. CocoLoco is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 7/25/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.

Story
Location: Champlin, MN This goofy boy is Gary! Gary is a little timid of new people and experiences at first, but as soon as he realizes you're safe, or the toy is fun, or the bone is actually yummy he is ALL IN. Once Gary realizes he's found his person, he will get very excited to see you, give some kisses while he gets his wiggles out, and then happily will sit on your lap! Gary has medium energy, he enjoys being outside, running around and exploring his surroundings. He will happily play chase/tag with other dogs and even join in wrestling with the big ones! He doesn't seem to know he is only 15 pounds ;) While he needs slow intro's with any new person, Gary does well with other dogs of all shapes, sizes and energy levels. I believe he would do well alone or in a home with another confident dog to show him his people are there to love and spoil him! Gary is potty trained 95% - well, I'd say a 100% as he doesn't potty in the house but he does still mark at times, so he could use some training to help him stop marking new spaces. Gary is kennel/room trained but he'd love to sleep with someone even more. If kennelled he will whine for a few minutes and then settle down. When he hears you awake in the morning he will let you know! Gary can be submissive sometimes when it comes to food/treats so if he has a fur sibling you'll want to keep an eye out that he is getting what is his and not letting others steal his food. He is learning to enjoy treats and bones and especially likes the soft beef ones or the chicken jerky strip chews. He has been around older kids and does well *as long as they are not forcing proximity if he is scared*, no experience to comment on about young kids or cats. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Location: Champlin, MN Say hi to Larry! Larry is a little timid of new people and experiences at first, but as soon as he realizes you're safe, or the toy is fun, or the bone is actually yummy he is ALL IN. It'll only take you a few hours to win Larry over and then get ready for so many kisses! Larry has medium energy, he enjoys being outside and sniffing all the world has to offer! He does like to run around and wrestle with other dogs for a little while and then he's ready for a good lap nap. Larry does well with other low and medium energy dogs, he likely wouldn't do well with a high energy dog sibling. I believe he would do well alone or in a home with another trained dog to show him the ropes. Larry is potty trained 95% - well, I'd say a 100% as he doesnt potty in the house but he does still mark at times, so he could use some training to help him stop marking new spaces. Larry is kennel/room trained but he'd love to sleep with someone even more. If kennelled he will whine for a few minutes and then settle down. When he hears you awake in the morning he will let you know! Larry will gladly steal other dogs food if given the opportunity so he gets fed alone ;) He is learning that chews, bones and treats are for enjoyment and can actually be pretty yummy! (Especially the soft beef ones or the chicken jerky strip chews.) He has been around older kids and does well, no experience to comment on about young kids or cats. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    If you’re looking for a best friend who can keep up with every adventure and then happily snuggle beside you at the end of the day, Puggles just might be your perfect match. She is the kind of dog who makes you seriously consider becoming a foster fail—and for good reason. She’s incredibly smart, wonderfully friendly, and simply a joy to have around. Puggles truly loves people. Spotting a new friend is enough to make her entire body wiggle with excitement! She has excellent manners out in public and has become a favorite everywhere she goes, whether it’s dog-friendly breweries, restaurants, parks, or neighborhood walks. She’s also wonderful with children and happily greets friendly dogs of every size with a wagging tail and a playful spirit. She’s currently living with two large dogs and a cat and fits right in with the family. While she absolutely enjoys having canine friends to play with, she doesn’t require another dog in her forever home as long as she has people who include her in their lives. One of Puggles’ happiest places is outside. She loves to run, explore, and play, and she would absolutely thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can stretch her legs every day. She’s athletic, eager to learn, and so smart that agility or other fun training activities would be right up her alley. Her foster family also discovered an important little quirk that helped everything click—Puggles simply doesn’t like to potty while attached to a leash. Once given the freedom of a secure fenced area, she happily takes care of business. Because of this, she is now considered potty trained and is looking for a home with a securely fenced yard where she can comfortably maintain her routine. She has started urinating on leash but still prefers to do her business off leash in a safely enclosed area. When the adventures are over, Puggles transforms into the sweetest cuddle bug. She loves curling up on the couch for movie nights, soaking up affection, and being close to her people. She also has a playful side at home and is always happy to entertain herself with sticks, chew toys, and anything appropriate to satisfy her love of chewing. Puggles is the complete package: affectionate, social, intelligent, playful, and endlessly adaptable. She’s the kind of dog you can confidently take almost anywhere, knowing she’ll charm everyone she meets. All she needs is a family with a securely fenced yard, plenty of love, and room for one incredibly special little girl. Whoever welcomes Puggles home won’t just be adopting a dog—they’ll be gaining an adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and loyal best friend.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  Bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers, Brussels Griffons, Pekingese and others are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. These breeds are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for these breeds usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires a separate application and an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. This dog requires a Bulldog Application.  All applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the bulldog. Our goal is place bulldogs in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the bulldog, we will not approve your application. To learn more, visit  https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/bulldogs/ to fill out the Bulldog application. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hawthorne and his siblings, Linden, Laurel, and Myrtle, found themselves unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs and people, and cats are unknown.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful.Hi, my name is Hawthorne! I just might be the happiest and most curious puppy of all time! I arrived in Minnesota from Texas on June 27th with my siblings. I am looking for a foster to adopt home, as I still have to be neutered (I will be before adoption). I am working on my potty training, kennel training, and leash training skills. I love toys and treats! I have several dog siblings in my foster home, and I am very dog friendly. I do not have experience with cats. I am in the process of learning what stairs are- for now, my foster mom carries me. But with time and watching my 4-legged foster siblings, I’m sure I will have it mastered in no time!  I love to run and play. My foster mom will update my bio as she learns more about me! First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vetting appointment.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2026, 9:50 pm
