Story
Meet Ringo: The Goofy Gentleman from Tijuana with a Heart of Gold Born around December 21, 2022, Ringo made the journey from Tijuana, Mexico to find his forever home—and he’s brought a whole lot of love (and zoomies) with him. This active, affectionate pup treats every walk like an adventure and every treat like buried treasure. He hasn’t quite mastered toys yet but throw a ball and he’ll chase it like it’s on his personal most-wanted list. Ringo is food motivated—he’d probably learn to do your taxes if you paid him in cheese. His leash manners and housetraining are still works in progress, especially when adjusting to a new space, but with consistency and patience, he quickly learns the ropes and settles in like a true gentleman. He’s working on crate training and does well when he thinks he’s flying solo—he’s still learning that crates can be cozy, not lonely. Ringo adores kids, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and greets every human like a long-lost friend. He’s a dream in the car, a snuggle pro on the couch, and would thrive as a social butterfly at the dog park. Curious about cats, Ringo sometimes gets a little too interested in their mysterious ways, but he’s easily redirected and learns quickly what’s off-limits. He successfully lives with 3 cats in his foster home. He also takes his role as neighborhood watch very seriously and may bark at unfamiliar sights or sounds, so he’d do best in a home without shared walls. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly sidekick who is equal parts energy and affection, Ringo is ready to move in and steal your heart (and maybe your sandwich). Apply today—he’s waiting with tail wags and unconditional love. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $575.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2025, 8:52 pm

Story
Welcome Nutz to CCPAL Rescue. Nutz is a 3-year-old Chug (Chihuahua/Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He is a quieter dog and likes to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that is more quiet and wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Kristofferson! Hi, I’m Kristofferson — the best of both worlds in one adorable package. Inside, I’m a chill guy who loves scouting out the coziest nap spots. But the moment we head outside, my energy kicks in! Walks are my absolute favorite thing, and I come alive with excitement, ready to sniff, explore, and take in all the smells the world has to offer. I’m a bit reserved when meeting new people, preferring to quietly observe until I know I can trust you. But once I do, get ready — I turn into a loyal, lively companion who’s up for any adventure. Movie nights? Long drives? Snuggle sessions? Count me in! Some of my favorite things: Walks (they truly are my happy place) Sniffing everything Squeaky toys Playing fetch or tug (especially with squeaky toys) Snuggling Watching you eat (I take my spectator duties seriously) Hiding under couches or beds — I even trail my leash so you can find me! Things I’m not a fan of: Baths (hard pass) Cold weather — I’ll definitely need cozy sweaters in the winter Sudden movements or people reaching toward me too quickly   He would do best in a home without other dogs or with dogs who are very calm and able to peacefully coexist.  Kristofferson is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Story
🩷 Meet Junia! 🩷 8.5 months old | 13 lbs | Pug Mix House Trained | Crate Trained | Good with Dogs & Cats Junia is a sweet, playful little pup who wins everyone over with her adorable underbite — people often say she looks like a mini boxer! At home, she’s a curious companion who loves to follow her person from room to room, making sure she’s part of whatever’s going on. Once Junia feels comfortable, she turns into a total cuddlebug! She gives gentle kisses, loves sitting in laps, and adores morning snuggles on the bed. She’s also become an excellent walking buddy — walks are one of her favorite activities, and she trots along proudly beside you. Because she was under-socialized before rescue, Junia can still startle easily and may bark at strangers or new situations. She isn’t fearful — she just needs a bit of patience and reassurance to build trust. Once she does, her silly, affectionate personality shines through. Junia gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and does great with cats too! She enjoys playing chase and wrestling with her big dog friends, and even engages with her foster’s playful cat (but wisely gives space to the grumpy one). When no one’s up for playtime, she happily entertains herself with toys or zooms around before curling up for a long nap. Junia would thrive in a loving home with another friendly dog or a patient adopter who can help her continue to build confidence. She’s the perfect blend of sweet, silly, and snuggly — a wonderful companion ready to bring joy to her forever family! 🐾 Adopt Junia today and let this little pug mix steal your heart! *Not available for transport out of state. Must be adopted locally to the San Antonio, TX area.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Boski, the 11-month-old Boston Terrier whose personality is roughly the size of Texas and whose energy level has been scientifically measured at “WHEEEEE!!!” This sweet little wiggle-bean found herself down on her luck when her owners fell on hard times and had no financial means to keep her. But Boski didn’t let that dim her sparkle—not even for a minute. She trotted into rescue like, “Okay humans, who’s ready for FUN? And snacks. Mostly snacks.” Boski is lively, friendly, happy, bouncy, boingy, wiggly, and approximately 73% made of pure enthusiasm. She’s sweet as sugar, very Boston-like in all the best ways, and the kind of dog who believes life is meant to be lived at full zoomie speed. She LOVES other dogs—big ones, small ones, weird ones, slow ones—if it has four legs and a pulse, Boski is ready to be best friends forever. She is basically a canine social director. Need a laugh? She’s got you. Need a cuddle? She’s on it. Need a dog who thinks every day is a national holiday in her honor? Absolutely. And here’s the best part… Boski is about to turn ONE YEAR OLD! Which means YOU could be the lucky human to throw her the most epic Boston-style birthday bash in history. Party hats. Squeaky toys. A pupcake tower. The whole shebang. She deserves it—and honestly, so do you. If you want a hilarious, joyful, love-packed, dog-loving companion who will keep you smiling (and possibly jogging) daily, Boski is your girl.
