Now Fostered in Bothell WA!! If happiness had a mascot, I’m pretty sure it would at the least resemble Koi. This boy is the definition of a peoples-dog, spreading wiggly affectionate and an enthusiasm for love everywhere he goes. To him, it is absolutely a thrill to be loved! The moment you start petting him, you can see him light up like it’s the best day of his life- tail wagging, body wiggling, whole-face smile.. Standing still for love is just not his style! Koi enjoys adventure and is an eager explorer who has basic leash skills and will polish to perfection with practice and the occasional gentle correction. He checks in often and is happy to deliver on your expectation. Dog-wise, Koi is a social and playful guy. No surprise right, you can just see it in him. We spent the afternoon introducing him to new dogs and watching him play and he was polite during on leash introduction, with a little excitement sneaking in here and there but it was all in a friendly nature. He loves a good playmate with matching energy- think medium-energy, fun-loving dogs who enjoy a mix of zooming around playing chase followed by extended chill-time. Koi’s ideal home will give him an outlet for his energy- walks, playdates, or backyard fun- and people who don’t mind his occasional joyful jumps or sneaky smooches (aka-face licks.) Meet Milo! Milo is a fun-loving 10- week-old pup with an outgoing personality and a heart full of sweetness. He's incredibly friendly and enjoys being around everyone he meets. Milo does great with both cats and dogs and loves being part of the action. He's currently in the process of learning his house manners and is making nice progress. Meet Pugwick, a charming little Pug with a big heart and great personality. Pugwick came to the shelter after his owner faced housing challenges and made the incredibly difficult but loving decision to help him find stable, permanent placement — especially with the cold weather approaching. It’s clear these two shared a very special bond.Pugwick has been wonderful at the shelter and has enjoyed meeting new people. He is social, affectionate, and truly leans into human companionship. He recently had a fresh dental cleaning and is ready to flash his bright smile for his future family.In his previous life, Pugwick successfully made friends with larger dogs, showing he can be a confident and social little guy when given the chance. Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:
 1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm
 2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert:
Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. He’s currently working with trainers at Tayls in Trails in Watertown, MA, and showing real progress. Snacks = success.
