Story
Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:
1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm
2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert:
Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. He’s currently working with trainers at Tayls in Trails in Watertown, MA, and showing real progress. Snacks = success. The fine print (aka, Charlie’s boundaries): ·       🐶 Other dogs? Hard no. ·       🐱 Cats? Also no. ·       👶 Kids? Not a match — we’re looking for an adult-only home. Charlie wants to be your one-and-only. He’s not here for a group project; he’s here for a solo starring role. He will make his opinions known around other animals, so a pet-free home is essential. The good news? ·       💩 House trained ✔️ ·       🛏️ Crate trained ✔️ ·       ❤️ Loyal, affectionate, hilarious ✔️ Charlie has a big personality and an even bigger heart. With structure, continued training, patience, and a steady supply of treats, he’s going to be someone’s absolute soulmate dog — the kind who sleeps under the covers, follows you everywhere, and loves you like it’s his full-time job. Adopt Charlie — because beneath the spice is a gooey, devoted marshmallow who just wants to snuggle his way into your life (and your bed). 🐾💛 If you are interested in finding out more about Charlie, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Charlie is being fostered in Boston, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Bellagio! Until now, humans have completely failed him. He was most likely hit by a car and left untreated. He’s lived with an awful injury on his back leg with 2 bullets. Poor boy has been through a lot that we wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t trust humans. But he has a beautiful spirit and loves everyone he meets. We don’t deserve dogs❤️🐾 Be apart of Bellagio’s rescue journey. He needs a forever family that will never mistreat and abuse him again. Because of the injury, he had to have his back leg amputated and is now a tripod. Having only 3 legs doesn’t slow him down though! He is great with other dogs. He is currently in a foster home with 10+ dogs ranging from 7 to 110 pounds in the home and he gets along great with them all! Here is the first few days after he was saved from the shelter. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRmTkDPR/ Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that often times have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! Story
Hello my name is Mr. Gobbles. I know what you’re thinking what a goofy name right? But I was named that because I make very funny gobbling sounds while playing which is one of the funny things about me. Enough about my name though and let me tell you my story cause it’s been one heck of a ride. My original owner passed away and I was first found by animal control to be part of a big hoarding case. I was super neglected and had trauma to the side of my face. I had no clue how to be a dog or how to act since I was always inside and had no interaction with the outside world. I was then put in a shelter but no one wanted me because I was in bad shape from being neglected and was about to be euthanized. This teenage girl saw me and she just had to save me which I was so happy that I was given a second chance. I was then brought to Three Little Pitties and the girl said she would foster me until I was adopted. Unfortunately again I was a bit neglected at her house and was dumped on her mom to take care of me. She didn’t know much about taking care of dogs so she kept me in a kennel most of the time where I learned to entertain myself with toys. After a week or two Three Little Pitties saw that my foster wasn’t taking as good care me like they said they would so they brought me into boarding where I have been living my best life and getting the exact training I need. Now that you know my story let me tell you more about me and my personality. Even though humans have not been the nicest to me I continue to love them unconditionally. I would love a human if my own who will show the same love and give me lots of cuddles. I’m more of a low energy dog and am more than happy to chill around the house with you while you work. I promise to be the best work buddy and very respectful when you’re working and will either hop up on your lap to help with your computer work or entertain myself with toys. I love kids, dogs, and cats alike. I used to hang out with my foster and her friends before I was given to the mom to take care of. I do prefer the older kids though since they know how to have the most fun. I’m good with other dogs but will mostly ignore them in playgroup and I’ll go hang on my own. My old foster had a cat and I’ve hung around our office cat a bit but both of them didn’t like me much and would swat at me if I got too close so I’ve learned to be very respectful of cats spaces and mostly ignore them now. I am now learning how to be a dog since I was never shown how. So some things I’ve been working on is socializing with other dogs and people which I’m doing amazing at. I’m also learning how to share my toys with others and am learning that if my toy is taken that it won’t be gone forever but I’ll get to play with it again soon. I’m also learning leash skills because when I first came in I had no clue what a leash was and would flop around like a silly fish which looked kind of goofy. But now that I’m taken on walks daily I have gotten much better. I wasn’t potty trained when I first came to Three Little Pitties but Im potty trained now! Since I’ve been in boarding I have a very consistent schedule for food and potty breaks and would benefit if you kept me on a schedule. Now that you know all about me I’m hoping that you fell in love with me just like everyone at the rescue has. My story hasn’t had a very happy beginning but I’m hoping to find my happy ending with lots of love and cuddles. Are you my happy ending?
