Story
Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:
1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm
2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert:
Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. He’s currently working with trainers at Tayls in Trails in Watertown, MA, and showing real progress. Snacks = success. The fine print (aka, Charlie’s boundaries): ·       🐶 Other dogs? Hard no. ·       🐱 Cats? Also no. ·       👶 Kids? Not a match — we’re looking for an adult-only home. Charlie wants to be your one-and-only. He’s not here for a group project; he’s here for a solo starring role. He will make his opinions known around other animals, so a pet-free home is essential. The good news? ·       💩 House trained ✔️ ·       🛏️ Crate trained ✔️ ·       ❤️ Loyal, affectionate, hilarious ✔️ Charlie has a big personality and an even bigger heart. With structure, continued training, patience, and a steady supply of treats, he’s going to be someone’s absolute soulmate dog — the kind who sleeps under the covers, follows you everywhere, and loves you like it’s his full-time job. Adopt Charlie — because beneath the spice is a gooey, devoted marshmallow who just wants to snuggle his way into your life (and your bed). 🐾💛 If you are interested in finding out more about Charlie, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Charlie is being fostered in Boston, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.

Story
Milo Moonbeam is classic pugish joy on four legs with the goal of perpetually having his favorite toy either in his mouth or nearby, aka- at his feet. Just over a year old and fully committed to the art of fun, Milo brings that happy, wiggly, ready-to-play energy from the very first hello. No slow burn here, he’s friendly, sweet, and already scouting the room for his next toy-treasure. If life is a party, Milo is the confetti cannon. Want to watch this toy-tossing superstar in action? Head to YouTube and search "Milo Moonbeam | Playful, Toy-Obsessed, Joyful" and then come right back to get-to-know the boy behind the bounce. Trust us, it’s worth the click. https://youtu.be/ty5dt0I5DCo Milo is estimated to be just over a year old and is possibly a pug mix.As always, rescue rules apply so breed and birthday are our best guess. What we know for sure is that he is packed with playful energy and a heart that is as open as his toy basket. He doesn’t just like toys… he loves toys. He will happily entertain himself tossing one in the air, pouncing, regrouping, and starting the whole production over again. Independent play? Gold medal winner! When it comes to feline friends, Milo met our house cat and gave him the classic “Nice to meet you! You’re cool but I LOVE your toys!” treatment. He was far more invested in our housecats toys with zero drama, so cats who don’t mind sharing toys and space with a playful pup are absolutely welcome in Milo’s world. With other dogs, Milo consistently gravitates toward playful, pretty female dogs who enjoy a bouncy bestie. He loves a good romp and would thrive with a canine companion who matches his joyful energy, and again- doesn't mind sharing toys. That said, his friendly nature makes him a wonderful option for a variety of homes. Kids? Yes please. Kid-free home? Also yes please. Dogs, cats, humans of all sizes, Milo is an equal opportunity friend maker. His foster reports that he is house trained, crate trained, and has great basic leash skills. He’s got the manners foundation and the playful spirit to match. If your home has room for laughter, toys under the couch, and a young dog who thinks every day is the best day ever, Milo Moonbeam is ready to clock in as your resident Fun Director.
