Bailey has a question for everyone: What exactly are we waiting for here? Because from Bailey’s perspective, she has checked a LOT of boxes. She’s dog friendly. She’s cat friendly. She’s sweet and friendly. She’s already proven she can settle into home life. She’s adorable in that slightly ridiculous Pug-mix way. And yet… No forever family. Bailey is one of those dogs who doesn't need to be the center of every room. She just wants to be part of it. Part of the morning routine. Part of the couch pile. Part of the walk around the neighborhood. Part of whatever you're doing in the kitchen that she will absolutely assume involves her. She's friendly, adaptable, affectionate, and gets along with the other animals in her life. Basically, Bailey has already completed the group project portion of becoming a family dog. Now she's waiting for her individual assignment: Find her people. There isn't some complicated wish list for Bailey's future. She doesn't need a unicorn home with no pets, no neighbors and 14 acres. She just needs someone to look at her and think: "Yep. You can live here." And really, isn't that what adoption is sometimes? One completely ordinary decision that changes a dog's entire life.
