Story
2 year old male Pug. He was adopted from a local reputable breeder. He would do best with someone who is retired or works from home. He is ok around small breeds, if given a slow introduction, but doesn’t do well with larger breeds. Fully house, leash and crate trained.

Story
Little Leo may be small, but his personality is larger than life. Leo, an approx 1 year old, 15 lb house and crate trained Boston Terrier/Chi/Daschund mix (best guess!), has never found a toy he can't conquer, not even a stuffed Lamb Chop that's as big as he is! He's energetic, loves playing with his canine foster brother, has a ball with his toys, and enjoys taking walks. When he's not curled up with his foster mom, he’s content napping in his crate. He can take a hot second to warm up to new people, but once he does, he's as loyal as Velcro. Older, respectful kids who won’t scare him are fine. Leo can be a bit cautious around men and may feel more comfortable in a home with a female-only household, and he'd love a canine sibling to play and snuggle with. He is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered, and his adoption fee is $600.   ##2242325##

Story
Foster to adopt home needed Hi everyone I’m Otis. I’m a 4 month old Puggle who came from a puppy mill. I can be shy with new people at first, this is why I’d prefer a foster to adopt home so that I can settle into my surroundings. I’m a goofy guy once I open up but it might take me a few days.  My neuter is scheduled for this Tuesday and then I’ll be looking to settle into my new home. I am dog friendly, working on house training, working on crate training - although I am not a huge fan, so someone who is patient and understand it will take time is best. I love to sleep in bed at night with my current foster.  Applications for adoption can be completed on our website: allieandpalsrescue.org/adopt ##2242057##

Story
Coco is being fostered in PA and has some vision. Coco is a very, very sweet girl whose favorite pastime is napping. She loves being scratched just about anywhere by her human and is a very go-with-the-flow girl, being great with people of all ages. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats if they do not get right in her face. Even then, she'll just give them a sharp bark to try to get them to leave. Her high-strung, young, maltipoo foster brother is NOT her favorite at all. She is a champion sleeper and often needs to be awakened to eat her breakfast and dinner. She will not indicate a need to go outside but is very aware that outside means "potty time" and she gets right down to business. She has trimmed down quite a bit and should still lose a few pounds, but she is moving much better since losing the 7 pounds she has. She loves being outside to sniff around and to just sit and sniff. She is not a fan of leash walks and will simply sit after a couple minutes. If you are looking for a sweet, well-behaved couch potato, Coco is definitely your girl! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
We are pleased to introduce Freddie into rescue! Freddie is a 2.5 year old neutered pug. He was rescued on the Mexican boarder by The Pug Queen in Southern California. Fred was an absolute dream on the flight to Buffalo! The flight crew and his seat mates didn't even know he was there because of how quiet and mellow he was. He is great with young children and other dogs, but he has not been tested with cats. Fred is currently being fostered with another young (unaltered) male dog, so there has been a little challenge with "marking". He does a good job of going potty outside as long as someone takes him out every few hours. He walks well on a leash too! Fred just wants to snuggle. On the couch, recliner, or wherever you are is where he wants to be. He does not like to be crated at night, but will settle eventually. Freddie would do best in a home that allows him to cuddle up in bed with his human at night. During Fred's wellness visit, it was determined that he will need an eye ointment daily for the foreseeable future, to help with tear production. He has luxating patellas (knee caps) and although many pugs live their whole lives this way without surgical intervention- it is important for his forever family to be aware of this and to have xrays done to understand what to expect for his future. With that being said, he does not have any mobility struggles, he loves to run around and play with his foster mom! He will be eligible for adoption in late November. Do you think you you could be Freddie's forever family? Apply today!Freddie is being fostered in BuffaloFreddie's adoption donation is $650.00
