Story
🐾 Meet Mookie Breed: Pug/Beagle Mix (Puggle) | Age: 7 years | Size: ~21 lbs Traits: House-trained, crate trained, playful, cuddly, loyal, smart Mookie is a one-of-a-kind little guy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He loves nothing more than snuggling under the blankets, giving lots of kisses, and being close to his person. He’s incredibly loyal, affectionate, and flexible — just as happy lounging on the couch as he is heading out for a long walk or a game of fetch. Mookie is smart, food-motivated, and knows his basic commands. He rides great in the car (it’s his favorite place!) and is easy to entertain with toys, especially a good game of fetch or a stuffed Kong. Mookie would do best in a specific type of home where he can truly thrive: • Adult-only home (no children) • Best as an only pet • A home committed to structure, routine, and continued support Mookie has become increasingly anxious in his current home environment, particularly around small children, and has shown nipping behaviors when overwhelmed. He can also be selective with other dogs, especially those who are more timid. Because of this, he needs a calm, predictable home where he can feel safe and secure. He is fully house-trained, though he may mark in high-stress environments (he does well with a belly band). He is not destructive when left alone, but he can be an escape artist — so a secure home and attentive handling on leash are important. Mookie is truly a loving, devoted companion who just needs the right environment to shine. In a calm, adult home that understands him, he will be an incredibly rewarding and deeply loyal best friend. 💛
