Meet Pocus! Pocus is an 8-month-old female Pug mix with a big personality packed into her little frame. This goofy girl loves to zoom around the yard and her absolute favorite game is chasing and playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She will definitely keep you laughing with her silly antics! Pocus was found as a stray running along a country road, so she’s quick and curious. Because she does not walk on a leash, she will require a fully fenced yard for her safety, as well as another playful dog in the home to be her companion. She does great with other dogs but can get a bit possessive of treats, so a family that understands and can manage this will be best. Pocus does not live with cats or children, so her behavior with them is unknown. This sweet girl isn’t a fan of the vacuum—when it comes out, she runs off to hide until it’s safe again. She is crate trained, has only rare potty accidents, and has already learned some basic commands in her foster home such as “sit,” “no,” and “off.” Pocus is ready for a loving home that will embrace her goofy, playful nature and give her the security she deserves. She and her sister were found wandering along a country road, and now this sweet little girl is ready to find a forever home of her own. Hocus is shy when first meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her playful personality shines through. She loves to run, play, and would be happiest in a quieter home with one or two friendly fur siblings to keep her company. Large groups of dogs can feel overwhelming for her, so a calmer environment will help her thrive. Since she was found running as a stray, a fully fenced yard is required for her safety. Hocus will also need a home with no cats. She has not been around children, so it is unknown how she would do in that setting. MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Spud is a 30-pound Pug with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This happy little guy loves people and absolutely thrives on attention — belly rubs, head scratches, forehead kisses… he’s here for all of it. He’s great with dogs and kids, though he will politely (or not-so-politely) inform any cats that he is not interested in their friendship. Spud is potty trained and crate trained, though he’s definitely not shy about voicing his opinion when he’d like to come out — especially when you get home! Spud is obsessed with squeaky toys and squeaky balls, and he plays beautifully with other dogs, backing off like a gentleman when they need a break. If things get a little too exciting or busy, he just needs a quick moment to decompress before he’s ready to jump back in. This boy is very treat motivated which makes training fun and easy for him (and great entertainment for you). Spud is loyal, playful, affectionate, and just the right amount of sassy. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly companion who will make you smile and laugh every single day, Spud is your guy! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 3 years Adoption Fee: $400
