Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO*PREVIOUS DOG EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* Oliver is a 2-year 2-month old Pug mix weighing 14 pounds. He came to the shelter as a stray so his history is unknown. Oliver is nervous with new people, a slow approach, time and patience needed. Oliver has food aggression, he will bite if a hand is near his food bowl. Multiple trips to the shelter will be needed for him to get to know you. Once trust is established Oliver is very affectionate and cuddly. Treat motivated, takes treats gently. Knows the command sit. Good on a leash, harness reccomended. Oliver is a barker! He's on high alert and will let you know if someone is around. He loves to play tug and to burrow in his blankets. Needs some work with housebreaking, was just neutered, might still be marking. Fearful of cats but would probably chase them. Unsure of other dogs-lacking socialization. His adoption fee is $150, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!
