Story
Meet Jay! This adorable 2-year-old Pug mix weighs about 12 pounds and is the perfect mix of loving, calm, and curious. Jay enjoys the simple things in life — comfy beds, cuddles with his people, tasty snacks, and relaxing walks outside. He especially seems to enjoy the company of smaller female dogs and has even been around chickens without showing any prey drive. Jay has a sweet and loyal personality and forms strong bonds with his people. He may take a little time to warm up to new faces, but with patience, treats, and a gentle approach, he quickly becomes your best friend for life. One of his funniest habits is prancing around your feet when he’s excited to see you, or patiently waiting by the kitchen while dinner is being made — especially if vegetables are involved since he loves a good crunchy snack. Jay is crate trained and is still working on house training and leash manners. He would do best in a quieter or moderately active home with someone who understands small breed personalities and will continue helping him build confidence around new people and dogs. Jay is current on vaccines and his adoption fee will include his future neuter. If you think Jay could be the perfect addition to your family, please contact us at adopt@carolinapaws.com. We only accept Adoption Applications within a certain radius of where are volunteers are based. Currently, we are able to accept applications from Mecklenburg and Union counties (NC), and parts of Cabarrus (NC), Lancaster (SC), and York (SC) counties.

🌸 Meet Stella 🌸 Stella is a 9-year-old Pug, about 15 pounds, with the gentlest soul. She’s great with kids, wonderful with other dogs, and loves car rides, cozy couch time, and snuggling close by your side 🐾🚗🛋️💕 She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. Stella knows her basic commands and is potty trained, though she may have occasional accidents due to diabetes. She is slightly blind and recently had a stroke, but her loving spirit shines through every single day ✨ Stella is looking for a calm, loving home with someone who has experience giving insulin shots and the time and heart to manage her medical needs. She doesn’t ask for much — just patience, devotion, and a place beside you 💞 📍 Located in Charlotte, North Carolina Adoption application and meet-and-greet required. Sometimes the quietest dogs leave the biggest mark on your heart 🌸🐶💗

**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!** 4-23-26: "JAZMINE here, and I am glad my photo caught your eye! Well, I know you are ready to learn all about me, so here we go! I am a 3 year old, 14 pound Rat Terrier/Pug mix, and I am A D O R A B L E!! I am spayed, chipped, have all my vaccines, but due to my previous owner not having me on monthly heartworm prevention, I am HW+. Now, don't let that scare you off away from me--I have had my treatment and am ready to take on the world! I came to this great rescue with my sister, Daisy (who is also on here for adoption) after our owner contacted the local Animal Control to help them, as there were a bunch of us dogs, and it was just too much for them to handle. We were at the shelter for several days, but everyone kept walking past our kennels. My foster Mom saw us and here we are! While in my previous home, we lived in an outside kennel, so this living inside is all new to me, but hey, it's a pretty good gig!! The leash is a new concept to me as well--when you live outside in a kennel, you don't get all this great training! I am a sweet friendly girl who is ready to spend my life with all the adventures we will have together! I am great with other dogs, but cats and children I can't say." "Do I sound like a girl who would be perfect in your life? Your constant companion, your ride or die pal? Well, just email my Mom at citizens4animals@yahoo.com for an application or any questions you may have about me. For fastest reply, PLEASE DO NOT call the number on here email, as emails are constantly monitored. My adoption fee is $250.00 to cover my vetting provided." "Till we meet, I'm saving up lots of kisses" Love, Jazmine **GOOD VERIFIABLE VET REFERENCE REQUIRED**
