BOWIE — All He Ever Wanted Was for Someone to Come Back for Him
BOWIE is a wonderfully sweet, loving, and gentle little boy who has been through something heartbreaking—but somehow, he has never stopped believing in people. All Bowie wants now is a safe home, a loving family, and someone who will never leave him behind again.
Bowie has a calm, docile, and easygoing personality. He loves being close to people and simply enjoys being part of everyday life. He is the kind of companion who will happily stay by your side, go for a peaceful walk, or climb into the car to join you on an adventure.
He gets along well with other dogs, is not a barker, and is not destructive. His gentle nature and affectionate personality make him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, well-mannered dog who will appreciate every bit of kindness he receives.
But Bowie’s story is difficult to understand.
His owners took him to a grooming and veterinary clinic for a check-up and grooming. Bowie waited there, expecting his family to return for him. They never did. The phone number they left with the clinic was invalid. The staff waited and waited, hoping someone would come back for this sweet little dog—but no one ever came. Bowie was left behind in a cage, with no family coming to claim him and no explanation for why he had been abandoned.
When the rescuer learned about Bowie’s situation, she could not allow him to remain forgotten in that cage. She asked that he be released into her care so he could finally have the chance he deserved.
We can only imagine how confusing and lonely those days must have been for him. But Bowie still has so much love to give. Now, he needs a family who will show him that this time, someone will come back for him. Someone who will keep their promise. Someone who will make him part of their family and love him for the rest of his life.
Bowie has already experienced what it feels like to be left behind. He deserves to finally know what it feels like to be chosen. ❤️
