During the day, she is chill either playing with her foster pals or being lazy on her doggie bed. Lately she has had such a good time going for walks and seems quite pleased with herself because she is learning leash manners. And although she uses pee pads, she also pees and poos outside. Maggie is an outgoing girl, affectionate, and with those long legs, she can keep up with you. She's crate trained as that is where she sleeps at night. Sweet is really an understatement; she is just a doll. Dax is potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks great on a leash. He rarely barks, doesn’t whine, and knows his basic commands. He’s smart, gentle, and eager to please — the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, loving friend. Dax’s story is heartbreaking but inspiring. He was found tied to a fence in 100+ degree heat after being abandoned by a breeder who couldn’t sell him. Thankfully, San Bernardino Animal Control rescued him, and our group saved him just before he was scheduled to be euthanized. Despite everything he’s been through, Dax remains incredibly sweet, friendly, and trusting. Dax is about 1 year and 2 months old, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick treatments. He’s healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever home! Lea was rescued as a puppy in early 2012. She loves to be pet and to go for walks, and would thrive as the only pet in a home. She does not get along with cats, and can be territorial when dealing with them. She hasn’t hurt our cats, but we also don’t want to risk it so we keep them separated most of the time. In our experience, she gets along with other small dogs for the most part, but it’s on a case by case basis (some animals just don’t get along). Unfortunately, due to our living situation, it would be best for us and Lea if we could find her a new home.
