Story
From a distant corner of the galaxy comes a pup whose cuteness is impossible to ignore: Jabba the Pup. Jabba is a 7.6 lb Pug Beagle (Puggle) mix who is about 3 months old (estimated DOB 3/14/26). He came from a home that simply had more dogs than they could handle. None were spayed or neutered, and the situation had become unmanageable, with 14 dogs living on the property. Shelter Hope stepped in and took in four adult dogs and five puppies so they could each have a chance at a better life, including Jabba the Pup! Jabba is a friendly, outgoing little pup who lights up when he’s around people and loves being part of whatever is going on. He’s well socialized and confident meeting new faces, doing great with kids, strangers, and other dogs. Jabba has a naturally affectionate nature and isn’t shy about coming over for attention, pets, and the occasional kiss. He’s got a fun, lively side and really enjoys playtime, whether that’s wrestling around with other dogs, exploring his surroundings, or jumping into whatever activity catches his interest. After he’s had his fun, he’s just as happy to settle in and soak up affection from his people. Jabba brings a cheerful, engaging energy wherever he goes and truly loves with all his heart. Forget galactic domination, Jabba the Pup has one goal: finding his forever home! ------ Looking to Adopt? Step 1) Apply Online Submit a rescue questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Story
Cleopawtra is a 2-year-old female Puggle weighing 17 pounds. Sadly, Bakersfield continues to face a serious pet overpopulation crisis, with many dogs ending up in overcrowded, high-intake shelters where euthanasia rates remain heartbreakingly high. That’s why we step in early, taking in surrenders and strays from the area and bringing them to our facility in Thousand Oaks before they ever enter the shelter system. Cleopawtra came from a home that simply had more dogs than they could safely manage. None of the animals were spayed or neutered, and the situation had become unmanageable, with 14 dogs living on the property. Shelter Hope stepped in and took in four adult dogs and five puppies so they could each have a chance at a better life. Cleopawtra loves people, enjoys chew toys, and gets along well with other dogs. She has a medium energy level and is athletic, confident, curious, and playful, with that classic pug enthusiasm and a quirky, engaging personality that keeps you smiling. She is clever and quite springy, so Cleopawtra will need a home with a tall, secure fence to keep her safe. Now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, Cleopawtra is ready to find her forever home. ----- Looking to Adopt? Step 1) Apply Online Submit a rescue questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Kiwi and Mimi were used by breeders in a remote area north of Los Angeles and then dumped. They were found together and we think they are mother and daughter. They love each other and play and cuddle together as the best of friends. Kiwi and Mimi are both very person oriented and will gratefully soak up affection at the slightest invitation. They both enjoy going for walks and are leash trained and are excellent hiking companions. Kiwi and Mimi are also superb cuddle companions and love to snuggle up with you or just sunbathe. They are healthy, house trained, spayed, current on all vaccines and microchipped. Adoption only open to Southern California residents. We do not foster / adopt any of our dogs to households with children under 10 years old. A foster / adoption application must be filled out PRIOR to anyone meeting any of our dogs. Story
Hollywood is a special angel princess, with a little stubborness. she is an alpha female and unfortunately does not agree with her sister some days. Her favorite thing is walkies and scratchies, she will tell you to pet her with her paw. she barks at the back door when she has to go potty, and her only health issues are very small allergies, which we think is only because we recently moved by the ocean. We would love to find a house preferable with no pets so she can just get 100% all of the attention she needs and loves to get.
