Story
Meet Penny the Puggle: Penny (or Puggy as her foster mom calls her) is a petite puggle estimated to be around 1½–2 years old and weighs about 12pounds. She’s a gentle, sweet girl who’s still learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. Penny didn’t get the socialization she needed early on, and she came from a heartbreaking situation where she was bred and then dumped at a high-risk shelter. Because of this, she can be very timid with people and needs time to feel safe. While she may not approach on her own yet, she happily sleeps in her foster’s bed at night and lounges on the couch, showing that she wants closeness, just at her own pace. What Penny does love is chewing on bones, enjoying her meals, and playing with other dogs. Confident canine companions help her feel more comfortable and bring out her playful side. Penny is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her the time and gentle encouragement she needs to build confidence and come out of her shell. With love, consistency, and a calm environment, this sweet little girl has so much potential to blossom into a devoted companion. If you believe in the beauty of earning a dog’s trust, Penny just might be your perfect match. Email us at abarkingchance@gmail.com

Story
I adopted Duke from a shelter, but he was being fostered at the time. Truthfully, my schedule has just gotten too busy and stressful and I'm not able to be home a lot. Duke weighs 20 lbs and is fully grown. He is about 2 years old, LOVES going for walks/hikes, is great off-leash, and curious and friendly when he meets other dogs. Duke likes to run and play! Puggles are known to become very attached to their owners, so he will want to be near you and to sit and cuddle with you. His favorites are FOOD and treats! He needs a person who will offer him kindness, love, attention, and patience. I think he would do best with someone who has experience with pets. Duke isn't very smart, but he's a very good boy, very sweet, and he tries really hard. Please ONLY contact me if he will be sleeping inside and NOT be tied or caged outside. Duke is ready to be your loving and faithful friend and/or would be a great addition to any family.
