Meet Penny the Puggle: Penny (or Puggy as her foster mom calls her) is a petite puggle estimated to be around 1½–2 years old and weighs about 12pounds. She’s a gentle, sweet girl who’s still learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. Penny didn’t get the socialization she needed early on, and she came from a heartbreaking situation where she was bred and then dumped at a high-risk shelter. Because of this, she can be very timid with people and needs time to feel safe. While she may not approach on her own yet, she happily sleeps in her foster’s bed at night and lounges on the couch, showing that she wants closeness, just at her own pace. What Penny does love is chewing on bones, enjoying her meals, and playing with other dogs. Confident canine companions help her feel more comfortable and bring out her playful side. Penny is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will give her the time and gentle encouragement she needs to build confidence and come out of her shell. With love, consistency, and a calm environment, this sweet little girl has so much potential to blossom into a devoted companion. Adorable Doyle goes beyond just being cute. Not only does this boy have a gaze that can melt your heart, but he is also very well-behaved. He likes other dogs and enjoys being around people. He received a gold star at the vet for being the best-behaved dog and made a few dog friends along the way. Doyle is about 1.5 years old and weighs 15 lbs. His long legs make him taller than most chihuahua mixes. His foster family calls him a Labrihuahua because he looks like a tiny Labrador on stilts. Since Doyle was found roaming the streets of Las Vegas, NM, a leash is probably a new concept for him, and he is working on house training. However, he is catching on quickly. Don’t let this boy slip away. He is a real gem. If you're interested in meeting Doyle, come to our adoption event on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-2pm, located at 6300 San Mateo NE in the south Sprouts parking lot. Alternatively, we can arrange a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with a completed application. Hi, I`m Blaze, and I`m here to prove that age is just a number! Look, I`ll be upfront with you—I`m a senior pup, and I know that might make some people scroll past. But here`s what they`re missing: I`ve still got the fire! (See what I did there?)
