Story
"PEPE" #6781 is a 3 year, 41lb neutered (7/28/26) male beagle mix. He knows to sit for treats, understands "off", loves to cuddle, playing with people and toys. He needs some leash and potty training. Pepe can be picky about male dogs, so it is recommended that he is in a single pet household. Vet Exam went well, all normal and a "Very Happy Dog". If you are interested in meeting Pepe, please call the Lake County Dog Shelter to make an appointment to meet him. (440) 350-2640

Story
Come meet Seymour at Pet Supplies Plus in Chardon on Sunday, August 30th from 11-2 This is Seymour, a kind of cranky old man but also very sweet. Found in someone’s yard in Kentucky, unable to walk. No one knows how he got there but the homeowners swept him up and found a local rescue for him. He got some rest, food, love and attention and now gets around just fine. He then made his way to Northeast Ohio and here we are. We estimate he is about 12 years old. He had some really bad teeth and an abscess but all that has been taken care of and he is feeling better. He is blind in his right eye that we suspect is an old injury that was never properly taken care of but it doesn’t cause him any pain or discomfort. He’s got some pretty progressive arthritis in his back so he needs meds for that to keep him comfortable for the rest of his life, it’s nothing too extensive. He eats great, seems to always be hungry and will make sure you know it! He doesn’t bother with the cat in his foster home so he should be okay with cats as long as they leave him alone. Other dogs would be fine but he’s not going to be anyone’s playmate. He’s all about his person/people and sleeping! He would do best in a quiet home with low traffic. He seems to enjoy being outside, at least in the nice weather and he’s finicky about steps. Some he will go up but not down or is fine both ways but some he just doesn’t like the look of them, whattaya gonna do? He’s housebroken but you may have to take him out if he decides he doesn’t like your particular set of stairs. Seymour is neutered, heart-worm tested negative, fecal tested, full bloodwork done, dewormed, microchipped and on monthly preventatives. He also had a full dental. A completed application is required prior to an in home meet and greet
