Meet Lucy, a sweet 10-year-old Beagle mix weighing 21 pounds, and ChiChi, an adorable 7-year-old Chihuahua weighing 17 pounds. These two precious girls have spent their entire lives together, and they’re looking for a forever home where they can continue their journey side by side. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together, but trust us when we say that means double the fun, double the companionship, and double the love.Sadly, Lucy and ChiChi came to us because their beloved owner is terminally ill. While these girls are understandably sad and adjusting to losing the home and person they’ve always known, they are ready to open their hearts to someone new. They have so much love left to give and are hoping to find a special person or family who will cherish them just as much, if not even more. These lovely ladies are easygoing, gentle souls who appreciate the quieter things in life. With their low-energy lifestyles, they would be happiest in a calm, low-traffic retirement home where they can be pampered, spoiled, and treated like the little princesses they are. Think cozy beds, peaceful afternoons, gentle affection, and plenty of time to relax together.Lucy and ChiChi are friendly girls who get along with other dogs, cats, people, and even children. If you have a dog at home, a meet-and-greet will be required to make sure everyone gets along. They are also happy to be carried, which is easy to do with their petite sizes. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet day at home or simply keeping them company, these girls will be content just being by your side.They already know the ropes of living in a home, too. They use pee pads indoors and will also go outside to take care of business. And one of the sweetest perks of adopting a bonded pair? They already have each other. They can offer one another comfort, companionship, and reassurance while settling into their new home. You get two wonderful little companions who have already mastered the art of being best friends.Lucy and ChiChi are available through our foster-to-adopt program, meaning you can welcome these lovely ladies into your home while they complete their veterinary care. This includes updated vaccinations, microchipping, and heartworm testing.
