WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾☀️ Meet Toledo — The Little Adventure Buddy with Big Puppy Energy ☀️🐾 Male • 4 Months Old • Future 25ish lbs • Professional Toy Tester & Zoomie Specialist Toledo is a 4-month-old 10lb bundle of puppy happiness wrapped in a handsome darker tan coat and powered entirely by curiosity, wiggles, and snack motivation. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance grooming routine but high-maintenance cuddle expectations… congratulations, you’ve found your boy. This short-haired cutie may possibly be a Puggle mix (pug + beagle), but his official breed classification is “Certified Good-Time Puppy.” His coat is the perfect wash-and-go model — meaning less time brushing and more time doing the important things in life like belly rubs, snacks, and telling him how handsome he is. Toledo is a happy, social little guy who loves other dogs and is especially fond of wrestling matches with his lighter-tan brother, Conroe. Their matches are intense, dramatic, and occasionally involve mid-playtime flops that look like someone hit the “puppy pause button.” Toys? Yes. Exploring outside? Absolutely. Meeting people? His tag is already wagging. He’s a curious little explorer who loves being outside checking out the world, sniffing everything like it’s part of an important investigation, and generally living life like every day is the best day ever. At his young age, he should do just fine with cats when given proper introductions. He loves other dogs and people of all sizes, but keep in mind — he is still a puppy, which means he comes factory-equipped with those famous needle-sharp puppy teeth and enthusiastic little claws. Temporary features, but highly effective during playtime. Life with Toledo will include: • Surprise zoomies through the living room • Dramatic puppy flops mid-play • Toy explosions across the house • Endless kisses • Occasional chaos • A whole lot of laughter Fully grown, he should land around the 25ish pound range, which is basically the goldilocks size of dogs — big enough for adventures, small enough to fit comfortably on the couch (or directly in your lap, according to him). He’ll be the perfect partner for: • Hiking trails • Camping trips • Neighborhood strolls • Co-piloting errand runs • And of course… professional couch snuggling once the day’s adventures are done. If your home could use more laughter, more puppy shenanigans, and a very happy little sidekick who thinks you hung the moon… 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Toledo bring the zoomies, the giggles, and the puppy love home. 🐶💛

Story
Meet Penny Penny is an energetic, joyful girl estimated to be 2–3 years old and about 35 pounds. In her photo, she’s sitting attentively in the snow, looking up with soulful brown eyes and an eager expression that perfectly captures her personality. She has a sturdy, compact build, a short coat with warm brown and black coloring, a white chest, and soft, floppy ears that frame her expressive face. Penny looks ready for whatever comes next—as long as it involves people, movement, and fun. This happy girl has a huge personality and an endless zest for life. Penny is always thrilled to see you and greets everyone like an old friend. She is extremely friendly, outgoing, and affectionate, with not a mean bone in her body. Her enthusiasm does sometimes come out as jumping when she’s excited, so continued work on manners will be important. Penny loves getting out of the house and would make a great walking buddy for someone who enjoys daily exercise and playtime. She does best when she has an outlet for her energy and would thrive in a home committed to keeping her both physically and mentally engaged. She is good with most dogs and enjoys social interaction. She has not yet been tested with cats. Penny would be great with kids due to her sweet nature, but because she’s still learning impulse control, she could knock over a small child or grab food if given the opportunity. Supervision and training will be key to helping her succeed in a family environment. Penny came to us from local animal control, so we don’t know much about her past. What we do know is that she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who understands what a young, energetic dog needs to thrive. Penny will need: Consistent, positive reinforcement training Help learning polite greetings and food manners Daily exercise and enrichment Structure, routine, and clear boundaries Patience as she adjusts and continues learning Like all dogs, Penny will need time to decompress and settle into a new home. With commitment and guidance, she has all the potential to become a wonderful, well-mannered companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who will greet every day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail, Penny may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Cece: Your New Professional Snuggle Consultant 🐾 If you’ve been looking for a tiny, four-legged shadow to brighten your days (and take over your blankets), look no further. Meet Cece, a 2-year-old Chihuahua who takes the term "Velcro dog" to a whole new level. Cece doesn't just want to be in the same room as you; she wants to be in your lap, under your sweater, or nestled right against you under the covers. She is a world-class snuggler looking for a permanent spot in a heart—and a bed. The Lowdown on Cece Cece is the definition of a "good girl" who gets along with just about everyone. Here is why she’s the perfect addition to a lucky home: • The Ultimate Companion: She is a true Velcro dog. If you’re sitting, she’s sitting on you. • Social Butterfly: She’s a friend to all! Cece lives harmoniously with other dogs, cats, and children. • Almost There: She is crate trained and nearly finished with her potty training journey (she just needs a consistent routine to cross the finish line!). • Sleep Style: Cece is a "share the pillow" kind of girl. She prefers to sleep in the big bed with her humans to keep everyone warm. Her Dream Home While Cece is adaptable, she does have one big wish for her forever family: Canine Siblings. Cece truly thrives in the company of other dogs. We are looking for a home with at least one other resident pup to keep her company and show her the ropes. A home where someone is around often to give her the affection she craves would be the icing on the cake. Ready to meet your new best friend? Cece is proof that the best things come in small, shaky, highly-affectionate packages.
