Meet Penny Penny is an energetic, joyful girl estimated to be 2–3 years old and about 35 pounds. In her photo, she’s sitting attentively in the snow, looking up with soulful brown eyes and an eager expression that perfectly captures her personality. She has a sturdy, compact build, a short coat with warm brown and black coloring, a white chest, and soft, floppy ears that frame her expressive face. Penny looks ready for whatever comes next—as long as it involves people, movement, and fun. This happy girl has a huge personality and an endless zest for life. Penny is always thrilled to see you and greets everyone like an old friend. She is extremely friendly, outgoing, and affectionate, with not a mean bone in her body. Her enthusiasm does sometimes come out as jumping when she’s excited, so continued work on manners will be important. Penny loves getting out of the house and would make a great walking buddy for someone who enjoys daily exercise and playtime. She does best when she has an outlet for her energy and would thrive in a home committed to keeping her both physically and mentally engaged. She is good with most dogs and enjoys social interaction. She has not yet been tested with cats. Penny would be great with kids due to her sweet nature, but because she’s still learning impulse control, she could knock over a small child or grab food if given the opportunity. Supervision and training will be key to helping her succeed in a family environment. Penny came to us from local animal control, so we don’t know much about her past. What we do know is that she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who understands what a young, energetic dog needs to thrive. Penny will need: Consistent, positive reinforcement training Help learning polite greetings and food manners Daily exercise and enrichment Structure, routine, and clear boundaries Patience as she adjusts and continues learning Like all dogs, Penny will need time to decompress and settle into a new home. With commitment and guidance, she has all the potential to become a wonderful, well-mannered companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who will greet every day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail, Penny may be the perfect addition to your family. So we have established that we are some fruity pups lets get to the meat and potatoes :) We LOVE the four food groups!! So enough about us ;) We are cute, loving and happy pups. We have maybe some cute and weird breeding.... ur mama looks like a red boston terrier and our dad was the local yokel,, maybe a pittie mix?? But we have all the adorable traits of puppies who love everyone we meet, INCLUDING felines!! Ellie has the sweetest soul. She came into GDR alongside two puppies who weren’t even hers — and loved them anyway. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about her heart. This SUPER sweet, submissive girl lives for belly rubs and being close to her person. She’s a total Velcro doggy to the max — if you’re sitting, she’s sitting with you. If you’re sleeping, she’d love to be cuddled up right beside you in bed. Your shadow? That’s Ellie. She’s crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained, making her an easy addition to the home. Ellie enjoys playtime too and wouldn’t mind a dog friend her size, especially one who is also submissive and gentle like she is. Looking for a little dog with a whole lot of heart? Meet Ian! Ian is a 1.5-year-old black and white sweetheart who proves every day that a rough start does not define your future. This pint-sized boy previously suffered a hip injury, which has healed beautifully, and his happy, playful spirit never missed a beat. Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of contagious joy. He loves attention, enjoys romping around with his toys, and is always ready for a cuddle when playtime winds down. He does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a home with canine friends. Ian also loves his food and is happily not picky. He eats from a slow-feeder bowl to help him enjoy his meals at a healthy pace and aid digestion. Medical Transparency (the important but reassuring part): Ian has Diabetes Insipidus, which is not the same as diabetes mellitus. This condition affects how his body concentrates urine and has nothing to do with blood sugar. • Oral medication only — no shots or injections • Takes medication twice daily to maintain healthy urine concentration and support full bladder emptying • Medication may be lifelong or temporary, depending on future veterinary guidance • Medication cost can vary depending on the veterinarian or pharmacy • Needs frequent potty breaks Ian does wonderfully on his routine and is otherwise a happy, active, affectionate young dog.
