Lola is living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Lola lives with 2 other dogs and does great! She is housetrained, good with other dogs, and would like a relaxed home after being surrendered due to not enough time for her in the home after a job change. We look forward to sharing more about her as she settles into her foster home! Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Meet Dexter! This 12-pound, 2-year-old pug mix is the definition of a sweetheart. With his irresistible little underbite and gentle eyes, Dexter wins hearts everywhere he goes. He’s a naturally timid boy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he becomes the cuddliest lap dog you’ll ever meet. His absolute favorite place in the world is snuggled right up against his person. Dexter gets along well with other dogs and does great in his crate while his foster family is away. He’s also potty trained, though he’ll need a consistent schedule at first to help prevent accidents as he settles into a new routine. He walks nicely on a leash, though he can feel a bit unsure at first. With patience, reassurance, and plenty of positive experiences, he’s sure to gain confidence.
