Story
Meet NIALL HORAN Niall is a very sweet boy who loves to play and has A LOT of energy- the kind where a walk around the block will not be enough. As such, he requires a yard and active people. He would also benefit from an owner that has prior dog experience, especially herding breeds. He will run circles around someone that doesn't understand his needs! He loves to play fetch and would love to keep going long after you tire ;) But he will also entertain himself with his soccer-like ball when you're done. Unlike many dogs who will just sit when alone in the yard, he uses the space to play and run for fun. He has so much energy! Niall needs mental stimulation so toys, brain games, training, tricks, and other new/ novel stimulation will help keep him happy and satisfied. He is really smart and loves to learn so give him a job and some homework and he will show you everything he can do. When it comes to breed, Niall is definitely all Pumi. As a herding dog, he looks to you for the next direction. He loves agility- and we imagine, would be thrilled at herding sheep for fun, or living on a farm and being put to work! Niall is very loving and enjoys pets and attention. He enjoys spending time with other dogs that are not too dominant. He desires a human leader, so structure and training are critical to his success. As he is a herding breed with strong instincts, cats and small animals are not a good fit for him. Niall's hair will require consistent grooming and regular brushing as his coat mats easily. Be sure to consider a budget for grooming in the cost of his care. Niall is a fantastic dog for the right family - so if you're an active family who loves to train and play fetch, Niall's your guy! AGE/GENDER: 2.7.20 DOB BREED: Pumi- a Hungarian herding/ working breed (low shedding, NOT hypoallergenic) TEMPERAMENT: Very busy, active and playful; happy, snuggly WEIGHT: 35 pounds HOUSE TRAINING: Good. CRATE TRAINING: Good. OTHER DOGS: Good! He needs a dog who can keep up- so high energy if any companions. CATS: He would not be a good fit for a house with cats. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $550 HEALTH: Niall is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! Story
These darling, bonded buddies are sweet, funny and so charming! Charlie and Cody are a bonded pair of Poodle mixes, each weighing 12 lbs. Cody appears to be a poodle / Maltese and it looks like Charlie may also have some dachshund in the mix. Whatever they are, they are curly haired cuties that will keep you laughing with their antics. Charlie is about 8 years young. He is a silly boy that likes to talk to you. He also loves to wrestle and race through the backyard with Cody, and then he’ll come inside to roll around in his blankets til he finds just the right spot to take a nap. Sometimes he enjoys sleeping with his people and sometimes he’s grouchy so he prefers to sleep in his crate, always with the door open. Cody is about 3 years old. He is a very affectionate boy that prefers to always sleep with his people. Evening snuggles and belly rubs are required, too. He loves to play chase with Charlie, or he’ll grab a toy to toss and fetch. These darlings boys were found as strays in central Washington and were terribly neglected and in horrible condition. After they were shaved down, their adorable little faces emerged. And even though they also needed extensive vet care, their friendly, affectionate, happy little personalities also started to come through. Charlie had an injury that required his left eye to be removed. He also had an old injury to his jaw. Both are now very healthy pups that have also been neutered and fully vaccinated. They were very shy when first going into their first foster home, but within just a day, they were following their people around and asking for affection. They also were terrific with the other dogs in their foster home and would love to have another pooch in their pack. They love to spend their day running and playing with their foster siblings, and then it’s time to curl up together for a nap. At bedtime they will settle down in a crate together, but they prefer to sleep with their people. In their current foster home, they have learned even more inside manners. A retired couple would be just perfect for this sweet as can be pair. It’s time for them to find their forever home! They must have a fenced yard and their people must be experienced dog owners. As for kids, visiting grandchildren would be best.
