Story
Sammi was found by a good smaritan tied to a post outside a grocery store. It was a late night in Seattle when I saw a post with his story online and something pulled at my heart strings. I contacted the person that had picked him up and told her we would be happy to take him in and find him a home in WA. After many months of waiting, Sammi is being fostered in WA and he is more than ready to find his forever home! He has received some very basic training, is doing a lot better on walks, is crate trained and housebroken. He is a sweetheart! He loves his food and loves to play with a ball and run around with other dog friends. He would do best in a home with another friendly dog and a fenced in yard. If we could find a family that is mostly home and can take him places, he would be the happiest dog!

Story
Sweet, funny and charming Charlie and Cody are a bonded pair of Terrier/Poodles each weighing 12 lbs. Charlie is about 8 years old and Cody is about 3 years old. They were strays found in central Washington in terrible condition (as you can see by the last photo). After a super grooming, you can now see what adorable boys they truly are. Charlie had an injury that required removal of his left eye but is now fully recovered and just a wonderful little guy. They were shy at first going into their foster home but within a day they were following their people around and are now terrific with the all their foster siblings. Their personalities are shining through and they will now engage in play with each other and love the other foster dogs, even curling up next to the gang. The boys are house-trained, micro-chipped, fully vaccinated and neutered. They are quiet and calm in the home and are very easy going and easy to love little family dudes. If you are interested in meeting this precious and brave bonded pair, please email fkrokower@msn.com and we will send you our adoption application. Please include your phone number as well.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Quincy ended up in a shelter after being found as a stray with his girlfriend or former housemate, Scarlett.  They seem to know each other very well so likely lived in the same home.  No one claimed them so we rescued them both.  They are fine separated, so no worries about taking the pair.  He's all poodle except for a bit shorter muzzle and the fur color and pattern.  He will need lifelong, regular professional grooming, so please add your groomer and their phone number to our adoption application if you do submit it.   He's very social, affectionate and lovable and deserves someone who can love him completely and take great care of him for the rest of his life! If you think this might be the new companion for you, please submit our adoption application for consideration.  ww.collarofhope.org  Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 30, 2023, 6:34 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Mario came to us with his brother Luigi in horrible shape after their owner passed away.  They appear to have lived outside and had never been groomed.  We opted to do a sedated shave down when they arrived so the vet could thoroughly check them out while under.  Due to this, they will need a very experienced groomer who can work with dogs who are not used to the process (we don't know what they'll be like).  Please provide your groomers phone number.   Mario is a very friendly, charming and engaging boy.  He may be a schnauzer x poodle mix from his coloring and structure.  He's done great learning to be a house dog and is loving his second chance in life.   If you can give this boy the life, care and love he should have always had, for the rest of his life, maybe he's the new boy for you!   Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 30, 2023, 6:34 am

Story
Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay which is Zelle, PayPal, or cash. Our ever so dedicated rescuers & who never ever stop fighting for these beloved beautiful souls told us about the beautiful Becky who ended up on in the brutal police pound where it is an absolutely horrific death for these babies. Becky she of been a result of covid being dumped or just not wanted anymore, who knows? How she ended up there we will never know, but what we do know is her death would of been a extremely cruel death but thankfully she was rescued by our wonderful rescuers before anything further could happen to her. The length of time she endured on the streets we can’t even imagine what she went through nor experienced. Thankfully one of the truly dedicated Chinese rescues who are outstanding rescuers rescued the beautiful Becky. This poor girl was so dirty, smelly, filthy & a emaciated & matted mess & that she is unrecognizable to the dog you see today. They took Becky & Hana to their facility & looked after Becky & we could not wait to change her future but covid had hit & the waiting began. Becky was taken to the vets to get her well & healthy. This became a very expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as Becky & her friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Our very sweet Becky is now looking for that very magical forever home. Becky was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Becky was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Becky’s foster mum said she is another sweetheart & she & Hana follow her everywhere she goes & is so loyal, what another beauty she is, inside & out. But she is a lot more reserved & a bit more shyer but adores playing. It’s so stinking cute to see these pair laying with each other. We all love her so much to. She is also so easy to love & adore. She is so very patient & enjoys being with people along with dogs. She also enjoys a good treat now she knows what they are & she takes treats like a little lady. She has put on weight instantly since being in the rescue & has adjusted so well to being in the US. She still would need to put on more weight. Becky has done well walking on a harness & leash & done so well with us so far but would still need continued work. Becky is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Becky adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing her, cleaning her eyes, cleaning her ears & grooming her, she loves being touched in general. She jumps at you when she wants or knows you are going to pick her up & she so enjoys being loved when you pick her up. Becky did really well with being bathed considering we don’t know how many times she has been bathed in the short time she has been on this earth. We have had her with many breeds of dogs & in her foster home she was fostered with Hana & they love each other so much & would play & play. She has done well with different size dogs & adores dogs & running & playing with them so that’s why she needs other dog friends in her new home. She is also still learning her puppy manners. We would like both these girls to stay together as they truly love each other. We have had Becky with both men & woman & she adores both. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Becky & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. She is making up for lost time & who could blame her. She adores sleeping in the bed with her foster mum so in forever home she needs a home where she can sleep with her family. Becky has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such a sweetheart of a little lady. She is so good in the car & enjoys a good journey. When we first got her in the US & drove her, she also slept & slept & it appears was making up for lost time. With Becky we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely sweetheart only because of her past. We are also looking for a forever home for Becky where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Becky is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be very patient with her & understanding. Becky has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & in her foster home she is with other dogs & loves playing & snuggling with the dogs & enjoys their company so we are only looking for a home where she can be with another young dog or other playful dogs in the home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Becky’s new forever home. Becky is a female, roughly 13 months old & possibly a poodle havanese mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure. She is now roughly 16.2 lbs & has put on quite a bit of weight since coming to the US & being with us in the rescue. Becky is spayed & female, she had a dental/scale & polish along with dental x-rays. She is heart worm negative, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, had her shots including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed twice. We have spent far more on Becky with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare costs, alone bringing her through cargo, without anything else then on top of that paying for her medical care & boarding fees, including a dental/scale & polish & x-rays, spay, shots, medication for a uti, microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Becky has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats. But it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Becky was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & we do not know Becky’s exact birthday. But it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Becky’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Becky potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Becky & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Becky who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet girl. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Becky has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

We cannot even begin to imagine what PiDan witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse, how PiDan ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. It’s absolutely soul destroying to think about the horrific situation he ended up in. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued PiDan & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting PiDan out, his fate was a torturous death. She transferred PiDan to her own rescue & covid had hit & the waiting began. Along with PiDan & many other sweet souls she got well & they waited to come to the US. This became a very extremely expensive situation with covid. We were finally able to bring everyone back through cargo which is an astronomical expense per dog, but we believe every sweet soul such as PiDan & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. PiDan was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. PiDan was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Fun, fun fun & enthusiasm then a whole lot of sweetness is a good way when describing Mr PiDan. It’s beyond brutal to think what came so close to happening to him as he is the sweetest, little man & loves attention but enjoys a good nap to. He has enjoyed eating since he has been here in the US with all the new tasty food he gets but let’s face it, being fed the way we are feeding him is all new to him & just being fed all the time is new to him. He also enjoys a good treat. He has put on weight instantly since being in the rescue. PiDan is one very bouncy & very happy & fun little chap. He knows now what love & happiness is. It’s as if she is always smiling now. PiDan does really well on her harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach him how to go on walks but would still need to be taught. PiDan is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. PiDan adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, he loves it all.
