Story
Video Available! Good day fine folks, my name is Suki. I am a 13 year old, neutered male, cream and brown, ragdoll cat. At first glance, one might see me as merely an older chap past my prime. But this is simply not the case! I am a distinguished gentleman with excellent manners and poise with lots of love to give. At times, I may appear aloof, but I am actually quite a warmhearted and sweet cat. I'm not the kind of cat who approaches you, but if you provide a gentle, stretched hand, you'll hear me purring away in no time. My long whiskers will be practically vibrating with content I become. One thing to note about me is that I am a larger gentleman with elegant, long locks that need be groomed as to not get matted. I appreciate maintaining a well-kept and classy look! If you're looking for a refined, affectionate gentleman, then come on down to the shelter and ask for more information about me. I shall offer you companionship of the highest order - love and cherished memories for the rest of your days. Cheerio!- Suki ID#A0994727Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Hi, I’m Oscar, a friendly young Ragdoll-mix male!  I enjoy human attention and like everyone I meet.  I love to sleep on my foster mom’s bed at night.  She describes me as “a playful, floppy sort of fellow, outgoing and goofy!” My pal Sterling and I are a bonded pair, and we need to be adopted together.  We've never been around dogs or children, but we get along great with other cats. I was born in approximately February 2024, have been fixed and am up to date on my shots. Please note: Oscar has chronically runny eyes as well as cherry eye, but these conditions do not seem to bother Oscar and his veterinarian has ruled out any infection. This is a Courtesy Post, and Oscar is in a private foster home in Pleasant Hill, California.  For more information, please contact Suzanne at suzannejo16@gmail.com. Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.March 15, 2026, 5:56 pm

Story
Kitten was abandoned in a court in Concord. We were able to get the kitten in a carrier as the neighbor noted that there was something wrong with the tail. She was spayed and her tail evaluated. No treatment needed for the tail at this time. Further exam with x-rays revealed mega colon. Very sweet cat but will need medicine for the near future to evaluate if her colon will begin to contract normally. She is on a laxative and cisapride to help with colon motility. She is extremely sweet and gentle. She is shy when she doesn't know people but warms quickly. Would need a home that is capable of monitoring her poop and to administer medication.   Update: Doing great. Loves people. Tolerates other cats but prefers human interaction. Loves to be held. Not on any medicine or special treatmentSeptember 7, 2026, 1:22 pm

Please contact Renee at givethemahappylife@gmail to inquire about them!  Also, please add a little about your home and who lives there as well as any pets.  Thanks!   Foster or adopt Asher! Born in 2024, Asher is a petite, handsome 2-year-old boy who was rescued after being abandoned when his family moved. Asher recently lost his home again when his adopter was evicted. He desperately needs a foster or adopter as soon as possible. Asher is super sweet and purrs and bunts upon seeing you, gently approaching you for pattings. Asher has been around other cats, though has been an only cat for the past few months. He loves to crawl into your lap for a cuddle or nap. He melts in your arms! He is confident, playful, and sometimes independent. He would do well in a home with adults and older kids. Asher tested positive for FIV. This is a virus that can only be spread by deep bite wounds. FIV does not mean a shorter lifespan, if he is kept indoors and cared for, he will have a long happy life. Contact Renee if you have questions. Contact Renee at GiveThemaHappyLife@gmail.com and Nisha at nkchauhan@gmail.com. Asher is located in Contra Costa County, CA. Click here to watch a video of Asher.September 16, 2026, 2:42 am

Please contact Lori (whisker2love@gmail.com), 209-996-8870 for more information about this pet. Want to meet? [Fill out the Application], then email it to the contact in this bio. Contact Lori at Whisker2love@gmail.com to Meet Lucy.  Please note that applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will be reviewing the applications to find the best match. She would be best in a house that has lots of trees and wildlife to watch.  Meet Lucy:She is the total package: gorgeous, affectionate, hilarious, and just a little bit dramatic. She is about 2 years old.  Her favorite hobby is bird watching from a safely screened window, where she takes her role as Neighborhood Wildlife Supervisor very seriously. When she’s not keeping tabs on local birds, she’s likely following her favorite humans from room to room because, in Lucy's opinion, life is simply better together. Lucy loves to brushed and pet. She is also a wonderful lap cat.  Lucy is incredibly people-oriented and loves being near her humans. Her signature move is the Welcome Home Belly Flop™. Leave the room and come back? Belly flop. Come home from work? Belly flop. Walk by and say hello? Another belly flop. It’s her adorable way of showing how happy she is to see you. She gets the occasional case of the zoomies, loves sleeping near her people, and is always happy to accept attention. Lucy does have one important request: she’d like to be your one and only cat. Other cats make her uncomfortable, and she’ll be happiest in a home without feline roommates.  If you’re looking for a beautiful cat with a big personality, a loving heart, and a knack for making you feel like the most important person in the world, Lucy is ready to meet you.Click here to watch a video of Lucy.September 16, 2026, 2:42 am
