Story
Valentino or “Tino” was born on 10/15/2016. He is still a big baby. Give him a fuzzy blanket and he will knead and suckle. He is very easily identifiable because of his different colored ears. He was the most unique in his litter. Tino discovered his love for the outdoors when he would go for walks as a kitten. Now he can barely stand to be indoors, unless it is snowing out. He prefers to roam free but will always come home for food, cuddles and sleep. He will follow you on a walk around the neighborhood. Tino likes wet food and not dry food, but he will sometimes tolerate it. He also likes homemade pate containing chicken, liver and sweet potatoes. He loves to be held and pet. He does well with other cats so long as they are friendly and not territorial, otherwise he will run and hide. He will also run away at the sight of rambunctious toddlers. He will do best in a quiet and calm home.

Story
Meet Kairo! This big fluffernutter is about three years old and around eight pounds. Kairo is a man of mystery and intrigue. With how stunningly handsome he is, you'd think he came from some wealthy heiress and previously lived a life of luxury. Nope, he was found roaming the streets of New Bedford! No collar, no tags, no microchip. Whatever he has been through, it has seemingly been a little too much for him. Initially angry when he first came in, he has since settled into a quiet depression. He'll sit in the corner and make himself as small as possible in hopes that he'll go unnoticed. He'll shake as soon as someone starts touching him. If you try to pick him up, he freezes and pretends that he's a stuffed animal. He eats, he drinks, he uses the bathroom, but he has zero interest in being social...With people, that is. Once we moved him into a room with other cats, he picked the first whiskers he saw and deemed them his emotional support. More often that not he can be found squeezed into the smallest possible space behind his roommate, Igor. We're not going to argue, whatever gives him some peace as he adjusts to life at the shelter! We want to make it clear that at the moment, Kairo is not an outgoing boy. He doesn't try to fight you, he'll just sit there and tolerate being touched until you're done. He's not going to be greeting you at the door or making biscuits on your lap, he's going to need a lot of time to settle in and feel safe in his new home. He almost certainly has potential to be a sweetheart, but from what we've seen, he's just very scared. As those familiar with felines know, cats are very sensitive to change and can become stressed about it easily. Kairo is no different. If you're hoping for a gorgeous kitty with a big personality, he's not going to be your guy. If you have time to offer being the emotional support for your pet and the patience to see him slowly crawl out of his shell, you may be his person!Due to his skittish nature, we're going to ask that he go to a home with no dogs, and no kids. Other cats will be fine as long as they're fine with him trying to become an extension of them. He does not know the concept of personal space. Story
✨ Elphaba – From Dumpster to Dream Girl ✨ A Little Patience = A Lifetime of Love 💚 Meet Elphaba, a 1.5-year-old Ragdoll mix with a heart as big as her gorgeous, fluffy coat! You may remember her as one of the Pampers Kittens—rescued from a diaper box left by a dumpster. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but she’s worked so hard to overcome her fears, and now she’s ready to find her forever home. Elphaba is still learning to fully trust humans, so she’ll need a patient, cat-savvy adopter who can go at her pace. Once she feels safe, she transforms into a sweet, affectionate girl—rubbing against your legs, asking for pets, and leaning in for those magical bum scratches. 💫 Because new places can be overwhelming, Elphaba will need to start in a crate to help her adjust and feel secure. She also must have a confident, friendly cat in the home to show her the ropes and help her continue building trust. She’s all about feline friendship but would do best in a quiet, adult-only home without dogs. Elphaba is a shy but shining star just waiting for her moment. If you're the kind of person who finds joy in helping a cat truly bloom, this sweet girl will reward you with a love like no other. 💕 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. The bio is the best place to find the most current and important information about their needs, personality, and ideal home. Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! These 6-month-old kittens were living in a death trap parking lot, dodging cars at every turn. They both have the most striking patterns, it's almost like a leopard pattern. Hunter, distinguished by his striking white clerical collar, assumes the role of a personal confidant, communicating with you through loud purrs and affectionate meows. He's the most curious and daring of the pair. Forest is the observer, carefully planning his next move of stealing your dinner. They both play hard but know how to relax with their favorite human. Together, they'll bring double the love and joy into your life! Precious memories are yours to have.
