Story
Phoebe is a definite Rat Terrier mix around 3-4 years of age. She was found running at large with little Rachel in Taney Co. Missouri. She is a little shy at first, but a super sweet girl. She does climb out of the pup pen that is 4ft tall so a secure yard for her to play in with a privacy fence would be great! She is a little alpha acting with other dogs, but does like their company. Active girl and super pretty too! She would make a great trail/walking partner and prefers women over men, but does warm up. ##1734559##

Story
Hi my name is Keke. I’m a 4.5 mth old border collie mix , or that’s what my foster mom thinks. I was found as a stray. I know, way too young to be wandering the streets alone right!! Thankfully I was saved. I was found skinny and alone. I was put on stray hold for a week but no one came for me. That’s when I got a new mom. She is fostering me until we can find me a forever family.  For 4.5 mths old I’m very smart! I use potty pads inside if I need too, but I’m doing great at pottying outside.  I can and have slept in my kennel but I prefer to be in bed with my foster mom, brothers and sister. And we even have a kitty that I sometimes chase because she will run and I think we are playing chase but she lets me know when she’s had enough. My foster mom even trusts me being left out with my foster brothers and sister when she has to go somewhere. I have plenty of toys to keep me occupied but I mostly sleep while she’s gone.  I would do better with a little older kids since I am teething and sometimes mistake fingers and toes for chew toys. I’m a very quick learner. I know what No means, I sit and I’m learning shake and how to walk on a leash. I will be a good protector for my new forever family. I love being outside playing or inside as long as I have someone to play with.   If interested, please  complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Brie is a 9-year old BC/Rat Terrier mix who is in need of a forever home due to allergies of the newborn child of her owners in her current home.  She is a well-behaved, playful girl and seems to get along well with people and other dogs, and likely even with cats, although her exposure to them has been limited. Her owners say this about Brie: Brie , Breed: Border Collie, Rat Terrier mix , Age: Approx. 9 years old , Health: No current healthconcerns. She is up to date on Rabies shot. Her annual is due but I will get that done soon. She isspayed.Description: She is very lovable and loves her people. She can be a good guard dog but knowswhen to stand down. She can be vocal and is very vocal when with dogs bigger than her. She's notafraid to establish her space and boundaries if need be; however, she is not one to bite others at all - She is a sweetheart. She can get defensive around big dogs but all she does is bark. She barks when she plays too so it may seem as if she's being aggressive but she's really just playing. She is good withpeople, kids, and other dogs. She will lay on the couch with you or sit/lay on the ground next to you and watch TV. She's still active for a 9 year old and can jump when excited. She loves to run and havespace - though gated is best. She is leash trained, but needs the leash. I am doing research on the best place to take her because I know she can be in a loving home. I have a bed, kennel, blankets, vest, brushes, heartworm medicine and more that she will go with. Last check up date: 09/29/23, Center Hill Animal Clinic , Reason for rehome: newborn is allergic If you would like to meet or know more about Brie, please contact her owners at carlton95moore@hotmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:31 pm

Sprocket is a happy guy who is 11 years young. He was raised with kids and seems to do well with all humans and most other dogs. He also appears housetrained (we never promise). He loves to be outside with people and playing in the run. FYI my Jack Rat lived to be 21.5 years old.
