She can be bossy with them so it’s best she doesn’t live with them. She can be around them safely for short visits. Miss Daisy aka Daisy Dukes or Dukes, is looking for her forever home. She’s a spunky senior Rat Terrier with lots of life and love left to give. Daisy loves people and she’d be a perfect fit for someone who is retired but still active, or someone who works from home, enjoys daily walks and would like to have a companion to join them. If she gets to be a lap dog, even better. In a perfect world, she’ll be showered with all of the attention and not have to share it with other pets. She is crate trained but, in all honesty, she doesn’t love it. Daisy is fine being left loose in the home when no one is there but she’s currently crated in her foster home as she does tend to be a little bossy with the other dogs at times. Daisy likes meeting new people and enjoys car rides, so if you like to go camping or travel around in an RV, she’d be a great companion for you. While she is an older girl, you wouldn’t know it by the way she acts. She’s had a senior blood panel done (she looks great!), a dental, she’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and micro chipped. Silly DAIZY is a fun and affectionate little mixed breed girl looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a rat terrier/Jack Russell Terrier-type mix, maybe with a little Min Pin as well? Daizy is bouncy, playful and energetic. She loves people and craves affection. Daizy needs an active lifestyle, she must go to a home with another dog who loves to run and play. Daizy would also be a great agility dog, she's athletic and smart. When playtime is over Daizy loves treats and cuddles. Daizy is about 2 years old and fully grown at just 22 pounds. You can meet Daizy at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Meet Pixie — a tiny dynamo with a big personality! Pixie was found by a kind 97-year-old woman, and while we don’t know how long she lived on the streets, it’s clear this little girl has already overcome a lot. Pixie tested heartworm positive after being rescued and is bravely completing her treatment, which is expected to be finished in early February. Now about 2 years old, she’s looking ahead to a brighter future in a loving forever home. Pixie is a terrier–Chihuahua mix (we think!) who brings confidence, energy, and charm wherever she goes. She’s a high-energy, alpha female who knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to show it — a true “small but mighty” kind of girl. She does well with other dogs and currently lives in her foster home with three large dogs and two other small Chihuahuas. Pixie enjoys walks, doesn’t mind car rides, and once she feels comfortable, she’s perfectly happy entertaining herself with her chew toys. Like many confident little pups, Pixie is protective of her personal space and appreciates having a safe spot of her own. Her crate is her sanctuary, and she may guard her toys — so she’ll do best with an adopter who understands and respects boundaries. She can be vocal at times, as is typical of small dogs, and she makes a great little alert pup. Pixie is still working on potty training, and she’s very treat-motivated, which will help her continue learning and thriving. Pixie would do best with an experienced dog owner who appreciates a confident, spirited little companion with lots of personality.
