Story
Sweet 13-year-old Violet is a petite pup of 13 lbs. with an irresistibly adorable face that melts hearts!   Violet's personality blossoms more every day. She's still figuring out whether she's a lapdog, but she enjoys being near her people, doesn't mind being picked up, and always greets you at the door with a joyful wag. She gets along well with her three canine foster siblings, though she hasn't shown much interest in play. She's also friendly with new visitors. Violet is fully house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside by going to the door. She sleeps through the night in her bed next to her foster parents.   Violet loves spending time outside and enjoys leisurely walks or trotting around her fenced backyard. She walks beautifully on a leash. Indoors, while she's cautious around long staircases, she's perfectly comfortable navigating a few steps.   Violet is partially deaf; she responds to loud sounds like clapping or barking but doesn't react to softer noises, including voices. She's a quiet girl who rarely barks, usually only when a stranger comes to the house. She also has mild cataracts, but her vision remains good. Violet requires daily prescription eye ointment (around $65/month) and prescription drops twice a day (about $25/month). She also takes arthritis medication and gabapentin at night to prevent seizures and has been seizure-free for over six months with this regimen.   Violet is a special senior girl with so much love to give. She's looking for a calm, caring home where she can continue to blossom and be cherished in her golden years.   Want to see more of Violet? Story
Sweetie is a 10-year-old female rat terrier that weighs about 14lbs. She was named for her personality; she is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She is friendly with people of all ages, dogs, and cats. She is relaxed and calm around the house, though she does love long walks. She walks well on a leash, and is happiest when going at a fast pace! She loves meeting children on her dog walks. Her foster family normally has foster kittens that feel very comfortable around Sweetie and treat her as a mama. She is not much of a lap dog, preferring to rest on her dog bed. Sweetie is house-trained and will go to the door to go outside. Sweetie does have moments of incontinence possibly because of her age and mostly limited to when she is sleeping. Sweetie has also been diagnosed with liver disease and takes daily supplements to maintain her liver levels. Her monthly medicine costs are about $50. She has no problems taking her medication. Sweetie is very food-driven and is not picky about what she eats. She will take her daily pill like it’s a treat! Sweetie was rescued from a terrible situation and despite her earlier struggles she is still a very kind and loving girl. She would make a great companion for someone willing to give her love and take good care of her. If you spend any amount of time with her you would think she is the cutest girl.
