Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Cuddly CompanionPenelope | 4 years old | 36lbs | Good with Dogs | Good with Older Considerate Kids | Cuddlebug | House trainedMeet Penelope! Penelope is a 4 year old mixed breed! She has the cutest ears that mostly stand up but then flop over at the very top. Her little tail curls up when she walks around. She has some goofy teeth in the front that don't quite line up! She is very smart. She learned sit and down in 10 minutes! What to expect when bringing Penelope home: Investigating- Penelope will explore every inch of your house Cuddlebug- Penelope loves to cuddle and sleeps in funny postions while cuddling House trained- Penelope knows to go potty outside  Loves walks- Penelope walks well on the leash. She pulls at first but will settle and walk by your side after a few minutes  Loves doggy friends- Penelope does great meeting new dogs. She will smell them but then loses interest and starts exploring. Food motivated- Penelope will do just about anything for a treat Trusted in house- I've trusted Penelope in my house faster than any foster. She knows what to play with and what to leave alone. I leave my shoes out and bathroom doors open with zero worries!  Penelope would do best in a home with older kids. She is very friendly but seeks out attention in her own time. She is NOT shy. She is a girls girl and never lets her people go to the potty or shower by themself. She follows you around with her adorable ears and soulful eyes locked on you at all times. She would be a wonderful companion dog. She loves her people more than her doggy siblings. She sleeps in her crate at night. She will softly whine when first crated (maybe 30 seconds of whinning) but settles and goes to sleep once you are in bed. She loves to lay at her people's feet or cuddle on the couch.  She suffers from mild allergies which can easily be treated with one pill in the morning (~$2 per day). She gets car sick but it's completely preventable when given an anti-nausea pill one hour before the car ride. The pill is good for 24 hours so Penelope is ready for adventures! Penelope is fully vaccinated, spayed, and ready for adoption.UPDATE: Penelope has recently discovered how fun doggy toys are.  ************************************************************ The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. She found herself in a loud, cold and scary shelter and it was very overwhelming for her.  Pawfect Match rescued her. Taima is now safe in a foster home getting all the care and vetting she needs.  She is one of the lucky ones to have this next chance at life and a furever home.  As we learn more about her personality we will update her bio.  ** The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Story
Sweet, spunky, and always ready for a little attention, Millie is a lovable 14-lb. companion who's happiest soaking up sunshine, enjoying leisurely walks, and spending time with her people. At approximately 6 years-old, she still has plenty of youthful spirit and so much love to give. When Millie first arrived at New Rattitude, she was battling a severe case of pneumonia. Despite everything she endured, she showed incredible resilience, and once she recovered, her affectionate, fun-loving personality truly began to shine. In her foster home, Millie gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and will even join in for a little playtime when the mood strikes. She's easygoing and tolerant but isn't afraid to let another dog know when they've crossed a boundary with a gentle grumble. She's fully house-trained and crate-trained. She's also proven to be an excellent travel companion, happily joining her foster family on several RV camping trips and taking the adventure in stride. One of her most endearing habits is magically appearing whenever someone is handing out pets—she always makes sure she's first in line for affection! While she's not a fan of cold weather, Millie loves basking in the sunshine and spending time outdoors. She has a moderate energy level, enjoys chewing bones daily, and likes greeting neighbors, both human and canine, with a few friendly barks from the yard. Millie has been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis, but with proper management she enjoys a happy, active, and very normal life. She uses an inhaler twice a day to help control her cough, which is usually most noticeable in the mornings. Excitement or strenuous activity can also bring on a coughing spell. Her medication costs approximately $100 per month, though pricing may vary by location.  Millie's adopters must live within a reasonable distance of Greensboro, NC so they can learn how to administer her breathing treatments, or they must have prior experience. Millie is full of love, personality, and just the right amount of sass. She's ready to find a family who will embrace her medical needs and give her the forever home she so deserves. In return, she'll reward them with endless affection, loyal companionship, and plenty of smiles.  To see more pictures of Millie follow this link   https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/millie         If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Hello humans, The name is Mooshu (not the dragon) and I am only 10 years old (not hundreds of years old like my namesake). I am a legend in my own right with a bit of a sadder story. When I was a puppy, I was well-loved by my owner but was not given any boundaries or properly trained. I got to do what I wanted and when I wanted. My owner was a foster parent and had kids in and out of the home quite a lot, which overwhelmed me and now I am not comfortable with being in a house with several people. My ideal home would only have one human, preferably a female. Since I can be overwhelmed and uncomfortable with several humans sharing the same space as me, I would prefer to have a safe space I can go to while my future owner has company. Maybe my safe space can be in your room in a nice comfortable fancy crate. I would also prefer to have a home where I don't have to share with another animal. My first owner didn't socialize me with other dogs so I don't have the appropriate social skills to share a home with another animal. I can be a little picky of humans I can trust as my life started out pretty hectic and I really just preferred my owner and no one else. I am the kind of dog, where I would need some date nights with my potential adopter so I know they will be a good person to me. I believe that would make the CARA staff more comfortable knowing I've spent some time with my future owner before going home with them. While pondering what kind of person I would like to be my adopter, I think I would like to have a single female who is laid back and has a calm personality and doesn't mind spending evenings with me. One way to win me over is treating me with some delicious pieces of hot dogs! I know my owner will be one of a kind and can't wait to find them! Please apply for me on the website if you think you can meet my needs! To meet with me, please fill out an application on the CARA website! I will be waiting to schedule those date nights with you!
